Giving one star is being extremely generous.....ok, so I had heard that this restaurant had some issues and was featured on "Dirty Dining" several months back. But, I had been here several times in the past and liked it very much. They are allegedly under new management and had a half price special today, so a friend and I decided to try it. That was my first mistake. For a place that should be trying to go out of their way to get customers, I feel that nothing was done to make this appealing. I am a big fan of sushi and have eaten it in many places over the years but this was awful. The sashimi was watery tasting, especially the tuna. Some of the rolls I tried were so bad I had to spit them out. Much of the food needed to be replenished. The service was terrible, our waiter disappeared and I had to flag down someone else to get service. I would never waste my time or money here again!

Fantastic for sushi lovers craving sushi. For everything else or with picky children I'd go somewhere else. Food (other than sushi) selection is limited. Temperatures of various heated bar items was very inconsistent. A lot of cooled down and stale textured food. Unless I'm in a serious sushi mood I won't be back. Service was great. Servers were friendly and very efficient. No issues with service, just the food.

My girlfriend and I love sushi and we decided to try this place. Can I just start by saying this place is flat out horrible. Food goes right through you and now my stomach is upset. Service was horrible. Do not dine here at all. This is just beyond really horrible. Never have I been to a place that has horrible service and horrible food. If you want to go to a buffet go to Shin Ju. Avoid this place at all costs. I will file a complaint with restaurant. Not to mention there are flies everywhere by the food.

I have brought many NYC foodies here who were pleasantly surprised at the range of offerings and their freshness, all at very low prices. I have been here many times... going again today with family down from NYC at their request. I found the fish very fresh. Somewhat disappointed that they do not serve sashimi at lunch but made up for by other selections.

I love sushi and my wife and I used to frequently eat at this restaurant before it was under new management. Well, my wife and I packed up our two daughters into the car and decided to go out to eat. The food was of poor quality and the sashimi was not fresh. But the turning point of the night was when the little boy at the table next to us told me there was a roach on my seat. I took a napkin and killed the roach and showed it to the manager. My wife was so disgusted she could not finish her food and I was even more disgusted and utterly appalled when the manager "discounted" our meal. My wife is wanting me to call the health inspector to shut the place down.

When the restaurant opened at 5 o'clock the food look like it had been there all day dried up unpresentable. Also when we asked about hot and sour soup they look confused. They finally decided to mix some egg drop with carrots and put starch in it and said that's their hot and sour soup. It tastes like dishwater the rest of the food on the Chinese buffet was unedible stale and tasteless. Crab legs smell from ammonia sushi was barely passable. I'm hoping at this point I don't get sick overnight

Went for lunch. Price was $9.95. The quality of the sushi fish was amazing! Especially the maguro (tuna). Unfortunately during lunch they do not serve any sashimi. Also the selection of the rolls although large was not the greatest. The hamachi (yellow tail) roll had very small pieces on the top and the unagi (eel) roll was similar. Also many Chinese employees. Why is it so hard to find authentic Japanese people at a Japanese restaurant? They have a good hot food bar too but overall the buffet seems limited. I went up several times and wanted to eat more but there wasn't enough selection. Environment was very Japanese, food quality high and price great.

.this place is pretty great. .sushi buffets are rarely any good but the quality of the food here is outstanding. .a great variety of absolutely delicious sushi, sashimi, salads, seafood, a good bit of chinese style food and also offer hibachi grilled food. .food has ALWAYS been fresh. .service is great and the prices are totally reasonable ($11 for lunch $18 for dinner) .one of my favorite places to eat <3
