The pizza here is amazing. The cheese is real and the crust is awesome. There isn’t an overload of sauce. This place has some bad reviews because it’s the building used to belong to Fortells pizza and people didn’t seem to like that place so if you see negative reviews from a year ago from when I posted this, then that was for Fortells before it got closed. This place is back in a big way!
Googled mom&pop pizza. It took me to Kirkwood Pizzeria. I got the lunch special. Best side salad that I have had In a long time. Got an 8 in. sausage pizza. It was unbelievable. Tasted SO GOOD. This will be my pizza place when the family is wanting pizza. And they deliver!! We have been looking for a good pizza place and now this will be our go to when we want pizza. I will definitely be back. Very friendly service. The associate at the register and the cook. Both were very friendly and personable.
Wow. We ordered a couple pizzas, the buffalo chicken and their house deluxe, and they were both awesome. Honestly, we sat back and were like, whoa, this is what a solid pizza should taste like. Average thickness, delicious sauce, perfect amount of toppings, very well assembled and held together, cut into slices, with a nice crispy crust to top it off. It just worked really well, and we will certainly be ordering again. Friendly phone/delivery guy too, anxious to win us over, and we are sold! Great experience.
I give five stars to Kirkwood Pizzeria. They have a great menu and a true understanding of how to make a great pizza! I had a pizza there Monday; their house special, pepperoni, sausage, salami, mushrooms, onion, black olives, and mozzarella cheese. It was delicious. Washed it down with a couple of Zwickel lager drafts. If you like pizza you will like theirs. Check this place out. Dine in or carry out. Cheers!
We stopped in tonight for our first time. Cold and raining so it’s nice this is spot in downtown Kirkwood that has ample parking. The service was amazing (sweet family owns it) and the food was yummy. We split a cheese pizza and the kid had the chicken tenders. She cleaned her plate. Not all tenders are created equal. Hey BEER drinkers, their prices are right on. Give it a try! Support your local community businesses. 😊🍕
***Updated Review**** New Ownership - we actually didn't enjoy them anymore earlier in 2019 as the quality of food and service dropped. Under new ownership, the pizza is a different kind, not thin, not thick, and the ingredients are much fresher. If you're looking for an in-between type pizza place (better than chain pizzas like Dominos or Pizza Hut) this is your go-to for a easy family night.
one of my favorite pizza places. we have always loved kirkwood pizzeria, but with the new ownership it’s 10000x better! fresh ingredients, family friendly environment, and great staff! i highly recommend that you try it, you’ll have a new favorite!
The best gluten free/cauliflower crust on the planet. The chicken alfredo pizza is one of the very best pizzas I've ever had. My wife, a reputed Foody says this is the best cheese on a pizza in all of St. Louis. You cant pass up Kirkwood Pizzeria, the best kept secret in St. Louis.
