My son and I LOVE Kabuki Sushi! He's a picky 12 year old that won't eat a tuna sandwich... But ONE TRIP to Kabuki and suddenly he eats salmon, crab, tempura... Anything we can put in rice and seaweed! Haha! I keep recommending it to all of my coworkers. They have SO MANY different custom and traditional rolls (we're still trying to make our way through the entire menu! I love that they offer more than just tuna, salmon, crab and tempura. Their unagi is so good) and such fresh ingredients. We've been going here since we moved to Cotati/Rohnert Park about 4 years ago and we have NEVER been disappointed. The staff is incredibly sweet and the chefs are artists. I have to take pictures every time because they food is as beautiful as it tastes! Anyone that says the staff is rude probably had it coming.. I've never seen them be anything but sweet and we eat in the restaurant most times. Please give them a try for yourself! Also - I've NEVER questioned the cleanliness of the restaurant. Never had a dirty dish and the glasses didn't even have water spots. Don't understand the negative reviews AT ALL.

The Bento Box was stunning, teriyaki salmon and tempora, both delicious. And so was my friends Avocado sushi and cucumber salad. Great food, good service and reasonable price.

Surprise, surprise! A very nice japanese eatery in the heart of Petaluma. We enjoyed hamachi kama and tuna rolls. This place definitely deserves repeat visits for as long as the chef is still the same

I've only gotten take out from here, but it's always good and fairly priced. If I'm ordering in for sushi, this is my go-to place. I wish they had more creative appetizers though. I'd love to see some Japanese pickles or onigiri or something.

You want FRESH, EXQUISITE, SUPERBLY CRAFTED sushi in diverse forms? Kabuki offers an extensive menu ALL delish and visually prepared by master sushi chef Jack and crew. Service is friendly, quick, and caring, prices moderate, and downtown location is easily accessible whether dining in or curbside pick-up. All is so mouth-watering and healthy the after effects are of lasting comfort. We are grateful frequent counter diners partaking of scrumptious eating while marveling at Jack's artistry. Trust me, this is world class cuisine!

This is my favorite place for sushi in Petaluma. A lot of people enjoy paradise because the all you can eat but they use imitation crab and kabuki uses real crab and I love crab real crab is very important in sushi. Definitely recommend the baked scallop roll and the north 101 both so delicious and the Toro tuna was delicious also

We have been loyal to this restaurant for almost a year, until my partner and I got violently ill, and three days later have yet to be healthy again. We had 101-102 fevers after eating this sushi. Our neighbor had breakfast, lunch and dinner with us, but she opted out of eating sushi. She was the only one not violently ill. I even had to cancel a business trip because I was too faint and feverish to fly. Please contact the Sonoma County Environmental Health board or your district manager or supervisor if you become ill after eating here. We will never go back. The Environmental Health Specialist let us know that there are not appropriate cleaning stations at this restaurant. I now have to make assumptions as to how we have gotten so ill, since the county cannot make that conclusion. The two hand-washing stations for sushi preparers were clogged and had no soap or cleaning supplies. Meaning that the only area for the people working here to clean their hands after handling raw meat and serving ppl was in a back station. This is most likely how we got to be so violently ill. The idea of this makes me want to throw up all over again, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to eat solid food since Saturday and it is now Tuesday as I am writing this review. I'm sure they will try to clean up their act since they were visited by the health board, and i drove by today and saw that they are hiring a new sushi chef, but this is so unacceptable to run a business in this way. We are both young and healthy, but if we weren't, this could have hospitalized both of us. Please choose another restaurant, one that never cuts corners on sanitation when delivering raw fish to people. And please, do not write a google review or yelp review first if you get food poisoning. Contact the county.

Ordered online through doordash. Never had a fried California roll and it was soooo good. Gonna order 2 next time.
