Sipping drinks poolside (in the shade) was awesome. The cornbread was a meal in itself and the mezcal infused Hill Country Sunset cocktail was fantastic. They have a very attentive wait staff that was a pleasure to see.
Staying at the resort for the Bronco Off Roadeo event. Stopped by for dinner and Susan took care of us. Very friendly and helpful. She said the cheese grits are good and they are awesome! Was a little hesitant because the menu is small but the grits made up for it! Thank you Susan.
Located right inside the Horseshoe Bay Resort main entrance, J’s Restaurant and Bar is a clean, comfortable place to dine in the hill country! Plenty of seating, TVs at the bar, and lots of parking. Simple menu with a buffet option that is a full 5 course meal of options and selections include an entire dessert bar. Service on a Friday night started a little slow, but Nehal was polite and on top of our needs once service began. Recommend for lunch or dinner. Reasonably priced. Tasty and comfortable!
Conveniently located on the first floor of the main tower at the Horseshoe Bay Resort. The food is delicious and the drinks are great. They have a varied assortment of items on the menu and a huge selection of liquors for every taste. The staff are friendly and efficient. Shoutout to the bar staff - Susan, Holly, Krissy & Marshall and theie manager Trent. Try the Chicken Fried Steak, it's the best in the area, made with a Ribeye! The Pecan Crusted Trout is delicious as well. Enjoy and Bon Appetit!!! 😋😋😋
We were there with a group of 12 on a Saturday evening. We were not offered a menu and when we asked for one they stated it was just bar food or the Buffet. What? We could not order off of the menu because there was a Buffet. This seems baffling. The service was atrocious. We were approached by the wait staff 10-15 minutes after sitting and that was about it. Water was sporadically refilled. Plates were never removed for Buffet service. Refills for drinks were not offered without flagging down a server. It was disappointing. The food was ok on the buffet but not what I expected for my Saturday evening. I love a breakfast buffet, but full dinner service should be offered for those who do not want to eat a Buffet. I also realize that it is a resort, but please draw the line at bathing suits traipsing through the dining room and bar during 8pm dinner service.
This restaurant is located in Horseshoe Bay Resort but you don't have to be a guest to eat here. Very beautiful drive and the food was amazing. I was extremely impressed by the service, the flavor of the food and the price. Job well done. I will be back.
They didn't have many gluten free options, which was surprising considering it was a resort restaurant. One staff member went to ask the kitchen what was gluten free and then forgot about us. We were waiting about 15 minutes untill someone came to help us. We ended up getting bland burnt grilled chicken which was $10, and a bed of just baby green which they tried to charge us an extra $13 for, but took it off when we complained.
Beautiful breakfast! We had ‘The Basic’ and ‘Breakfast Taco’s’. Awesome. Cooked perfectly and delicious. Located within Horseshoe Bay Resort. Service was great and the waitress was friendly.
