Very good food cooked and taste to perfection. Nice and polite servers and quick food service. Highly recommended place to eat.

Very disappointing experience at this restaurant tonight seemingly due to racism. My husband and I visited the quad city from out of town and decided to have dinner at this restaurant. It was a Wednesday night and the restaurant was not full. We were seated right beside (in arms length) of the bussing station. We were the only customers seated in that section. We asked to be seated by the window in a nicer area and were told by the waitress that she would need to ask a manager. The manager came over and said he had no where to move us despite the large number of empty tables. After a few minutes we decided to leave. The manager seemed okay with us leaving. There were no other African American patrons in the restaurant and everyone else was Caucasian including the waitress and the manager. I would not recommend this restaurant to any racial minority.

My wife and I came here for the first time tonight. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. From the bread, to the toasted raviolis, to the Heart of Italy trio dish, all the food was great. Our server Ashley was very attentive and personable. We live an hour away but will definitely be coming back in the future. Highly recommend.

Called and made a reservation for a late night dinner to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. Food was DELICIOUS! We were there at 9 and they closed at 10. Service was fast. Staff were cleaning up for the night as we were eating, but we hurried to get out before 10. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Would definitely go back!

While this restaurant has an upscale atmosphere, unfortunately, we didn’t feel that the food followed through. Our table ordered the filet trio, the 14 ounce ribeye, and the Parmesan crusted NY strip. All of our steaks were cooked well to the appropriate temperature and looked delicious, but the ribeye was thin, and the Parmesan crust on both the strip and one of the filets was just a little over the top for us. The crust itself just wasn’t what we were expecting and there was quite a lot of it. The garlic mash I had with my strip I thought was pretty good. Creamy, though a bit heavy on the garlic. The others at the table felt it was too much like a purée consistency and not quite a mash. A lot of other reviews say the steaks are overpriced and I have to agree there, especially for the ribeye. The strip was probably the best steak we ordered— a little over an inch thick and tender, but the ribeye was probably 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick and we were questioning whether it was actually a full 14 ounces. The side of lobster mac & cheese, however, was very good. Now, this is being really not-picky here, but I even felt that the Caesar salad was a little lack luster. A majority of the romaine in my salad was slightly brown on the edges, but I really liked the dressing and the croutons. All this being said, this was our first time here. We really can’t speak to the quality of the Italian offerings here, so maybe those dishes really are the stars at this establishment. I can say with certainty, though, that we are unlikely to return for steak. We would maybe consider trying something else here if we’re ever back in the area.

The steaks were not worth the price. 1 out of the 3 purchased were delicious, and the Beef Wellington was over seasoned as well as the vegetables on the side. The food took an incredibly long time, but the Ukrainian waitress was super nice and paced everything so we wouldn’t get too hungry. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was good, but cold.

I hate giving bad reviews, but multiple people have told me to as it is important that it is an expensive restaurant and quality food is important. My husband and I went for our 3rd wedding anniversary and wanted a place that was nice for the occasion. The atmosphere was really nice and different for in the Quad Cities. The server, I felt really bad for, which is another reason we didn't say anything at the restaurant about our experience while there. She said she was new and had like 10 tables, so we didn't see or speak to her much. Our food was really really awful, and I am not a picky eater at all. My husband got the parmesean crusted steak and the outside was just gristle and charcoal-burnt. I got the crab stuffed shrimp, which I could barely chew. Both of our garlic potatoes didn't taste like potatoes or garlic at all. We both ate everything, just because we were hungry and spent $140 on the meals total, but I would not recommend. I don't write this to be rude or negative, just for people to think about or consider before going and spending so much money at a restaurant.

Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse is one of my favorite restaurants in the Quad cities. The food is always fantastic, the service is usually really good, and the atmosphere at dinner time is really nice. I love their focaccia bread that is served before dinner, and the bar has a good selection of wines and spirits. It is definitely a restaurant you should check out!
