Ordered the chicken salad on rye which I loved (big chunks of chicken and not overly covered with mayo), the turkey melt was great especially with a side of hot sauce for dipping, and one of their signature chicken cutlet sandwiches hit the spot! The sandwiches are huge so make sure you come hungry! The place is clean and the ambience is casual and laid back. Will be back when I’m in the area!
It’s a shame what this place has become. Just paid $9.50 for an egg sandwich that wasn’t cooked how I asked. Bacon was almost raw and over medium was , over easy. I get that it’s not the easiest but for $9+ you should get it right. It also took 15 minutes when I was the only one in the store. Food used to be good there, but not anymore. Seems like they’re in over their head.
I purchased a surprise bag from the app; too good to go and the cost was only $4.99, but the actual cost during peak hours would have been $15.99, which if I had known what was inside the bag, I wouldn't have even wanted to pay only $4.99 I was given a half of a hero on stale bread with thinly sliced smoked turkey breast and American cheese, 1 stale dry crumbly brownie and 1 macadamia cookie. If this is what a half hero is "suppose" to cost, then that means this hero will cost approximately $30.00 for a full size hero!!??!! 🙄
FALSE ADVERTISING! Beware of ordering on the too good to go app! They advertise it as a $15 value, and they will literally give you two slices of meat WITH NO BREAD!. I gave it a go twice just to give them another shot. Both times were horrible. Also, the older lady with glasses is so rude and makes you feel very unwelcome ( Barbara, I believe). I will never be back.
I ordered from here several times now. The owner is a nice person, but the food is just not good. Only once did I have well cooked food. Every other time there was an issue. Either left something out of my order or the food was treated with severe lack of care. Under cooked meat, eggs and sloppy to gross packaging. Truly disappointed with the chef and there quality. I do not recommend this place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Better places to spend your hard earned money on.
This place is awesome! Very good choices in food options, was hard for me to decide what I wanted everything sounded and looked delicious! The staff was very polite and welcoming. I ordered the dude and it was very good! Will be going back here when we visit long Island again
My guilty pleasure is eating an entire hot hero until my stomach hurts because it tastes so good. So of course I’ve tried a lot of sandwich spots looking for the sandwich that’s going to make me dance in my seat. This review is for the cleanliness of the shop, the very nice staff, and for THE PICCOLO. I loved it, I took a picture of it before I even knew I would write a review because it made me so happy. I’ll definitely be back to try more!
Shakes were good. Ive had some inconsistency from them on the same items i have ordered before. Heroes I liked and chicken fingers seem to be different every time. Like different ingredients and ways they are cooked. Breakfast sandwiches were ok. Place has potential to be better.
