Breakfast Menu "Jimmy's Barbeque Pit" Boone

The last few times we've eaten at Jimmy's its been fantastic. The brisket sandwich was very very good, not much fat at all. And the sauce is much better than the competition over here in Ames. My wife and I like to take the bike out on nice evenings and found ourselves at Jimmy's tonight. Thanks for making it a perfect night for us.

The workers are nice. The food is good. The pork spare ribs were great. My family really enjoyed the Texas toast. We will all come back. I also really liked the chicken that came with the Iowa pit bits.

This is the place!!! Jimmy and his family are good kind people who run one great BBQ joint! You can smell Jimmy smoking the meat for the day early in the morning, and it smells delicious! Meat falls off the bone, smoked to perfection. Portions are great, baked beans are to die for. If it’s not already been eaten, the lemon chess pie is the perfect finale to a great meal and friendly experience.

Great food, service and prices! Got the ribs with a bake potato and baked beans. It was delicious. Good lemonade and bbq sauces. Wish they had one in Iowa City !! So good !! My meal came with 2 sides and Texas toast. Generous portions and great taste.

Just walked in and atmosphere was welcoming and whimsical. Lots of old west decor. Loved it!!! Service was great and the food all homemade was so delicious 😋. Loved the story behind the restaurant and Jimmy is so personable. Popped in by chance as I was i the area since I live an hour away. Next time soon it will be going to Boone just for the food and the experience at Jimmy's Barbeque Pit!

Ordered the Iowa Twister for lunch and everything was very good! Very friendly service and received our food fast! The lemonade, brisket and pork loin were all excellent. They also have a very good potato salad.

Very inviting, cool little restaurant. I had the sandwich with 2 meats on Texas toast. It was smaller than I thought, but well worth it! It was so delicious, I didn't even use the BBQ sauce. The flavors were amazing!

The food is amazing and the value is maybe even more amazing. We are passing through and would definitely return. The kids menu is an incredible value and staff is just as friendly
