I dont know how this restaurant doesn’t have 5 stars. Ive read previous reviews about how the service wasn’t good, but i highly disagree and had amazing service. The staff was so friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. I ordered oxtail, and brown stew chicken and it is so tender you barely have to chew it. Rice and peas were cooked perfectly, and the steamed vegetables go great with the meal. Honestly one of the best oxtail dishes ive ever had. If you are hesitant on coming here, dont be. This is definitely a restaurant that is worth every penny. Just make sure to bring cash, since it is cash only…

After searching for new food in the neighborhood, I came across this place. It was spectacular!! I had oxtails with their rice and veggies. Had to get the mac and cheese too!! The large fed 2.5 people and we were all satisfied! But I could have ate it all by myself to be honest. Loved it! Great flavor! The mac was seasoned and had pepper or jalapeño in it? Not sure but it was banging!!! Can’t wait to go back and have other dishes. By the way! I had no problem with any one, they all seemed very friendly and welcoming. Maybe the other reviewers caught them on a bad day… but to be honest? Even if they were mean to me, I’d still go back. That’s how good the food was!

The food was terrible. Curry Chicken with rice, peas and cabbage. The chicken was lacking flavor and freshness. The chicken had no true taste of curry. Jamaican food if placed in the fridge for over night has a distinct aroma and taste to it, and this food had it. The cabbage tasted off, like it was spoiled. The place was overrun by Hornets flying around. The amount of oil that was in the pan, was outrageous, that should’ve been a red flag. The employees had an attitude, also inflated prices. I won’t be going back.

Parking you can find around the place, just go round the block. Food is only takeaways. Cash only, but there's an ATM next door. Do NOT let the small space give you any ideas. Mind-blowing soul food. Called ahead, reached 6 mins later, my stuff was sealed packed n ready. Each dish is so well packed, I had to take a pic of the sealed dish, I have not seen that done ANYWHERE else in NY. Jerk chicken, just right spice n salt. Skinless brown chicken stew was perfect, comes with rice beans, fried plantains and cabbage on the side, cabbage is tasty too. Oxtail: not the usual you get in other Jamaican places, comes with red rice with the fat beans I think, Lima beans and cabbage.

Terrible experience but third times a charm right. 1 I ordered curry chicken , too much rich and the chicken dry n old . They removed all prices from the wall so they can make it up overprice ,and charge whatever. 1 goat curry and a stew chicken. Goat was nasty and the stew chicken was fatty and to much oil nearly $40. Prior to my experience I had to pick up a $60 pan of rasta pasta, they gave me a pan of dry noodles 1 & 1/2 pepper no heavy cream alfredo sauce definitely nothing is authentic JA food ! Told me to come back 20 minutes to give me a SMALL coffee cup (not a M or Large nor a soup cup) of stinking sauce with too much oil that just smells bad . It takes 10 mins to make alfredo sauce from scratch i gave them nearly 40. The sauce was so clumpy like gravy n nasty , Workers mocking me, Lady behind the counter is attitude & rude is disgusting, refused to call her boss because they messed up. The boss was nice but if those the ppl he hire highly disrespectful & do not recommend! Too expensive for poor quality

Loved the food but loved the warm welcome too as a tourist in the US. Thank you! Ox tail was delicious!

The food is freaking amazing and the service is always great. They have an amazing menu and their prices are very affordable too.

I love going to this Jamaican spot. The food is really delicious. I would definitely recommend anyone in the area to check this place out. The other day I went and bought food but there was no plantain left to go with my order. I hope they can fix that one little issue.
