I've been coming to Jake's Pizza for years their Pizza has always stayed consistent always good Taste! Thin or thick crust pizza always available in the Pizza warmers. Even if it's a lunch rush and you think it's crowded they go through the people real fast and get you in and out well worth stopping! Located right next to the UPS Store.
Mexican pizzeria that tries to mix the best of both styles. The pizzeria is not very large, but it can hold about 25 patrons before it gets too cozy for comfort. I saw a lot of people order tacos and pizza slices, and I went with the pork burrito. They filled this burrito out! I usually find Mexican fast food places where they like to tout them as a this chonker that needs two hands to hold but ends up fitting between my tiny hands but this one is pretty darn thick. You could probably fit 3-4 bites by width on one of these. Their condiments unfortunately don't really complement the burrito well. The green one had a lingering spice, and the red/brown one just didn't taste right, like it felt like it was left in the fridge for a little too long kind of sauce. Service was adequate. It seemed like today was a little more than expected which seemed a little slower, but dishes were still being handed out at a relatively quick pace.
Tasty thin slices, variety of flavors available. Staff was polite and available when customers needed her. Fast service, clean space, tasty eats at a good price.
I've been coming here for years since it's near my work. Pizza is pretty good, but what takes the cake is their Mexican food. Highly recommend their chicken torta.
We ordered pizzas for a party and they forgot half of our order - the half for the kids too, which made it worse. When we called they gave us the run around, saying it would be right there but then during the next call they said it was in the oven. During one call, a staff member even yelled at us, saying this was somehow our fault. The other half of the order showed up 15 min before the party ended. No one apologized or explained what happened. We even sent an email giving them an opportunity to make this right and it was ignored. So disappointing.
I had a pizza by the slice. It was pretty greasy pizza but tasted all right and the price was reasonable.
I was ready to walk in there and give a 5 star review because this is one of the very very few places that open late in Northbrook. Last time my husband picked up a Caesar salad and Italia beef sandwich and it was pretty good. We decided to come back this time and dine in. We ordered a burrito and a slice of pizza. I wanted some water but they only have bottled water. I looked in the fridge and there’s no zero sugar no caffeine drink, so we had them to go instead and eat at home. The burrito was good but pizza was not the best. I think it’s been sitting there a little too long. However, both item plus tax cost only around $10.
I've been a long time customer, never had any real complaints. I used Jake's to cater a few events recently and certainly wasn't disappointed.
