New to the area, had to check out one of the many Turkish restaurants in town. Food was good, rice was mushy. Desserts were just very good! The coffee was stale, unfortunately as a coffee drinker I was disappointed. The tea was OK. Might come back to check out their Turkish breakfast. Very good customer service too!

So incredibly tasty! Blew me away with the kebabs, hummus, etc. The meat was juicy and tasty, service was amazing as well. I couldn't have any sweets, they have a huge selection, but I'll try them next time.

If you like Turkish breakfast you have to visit this place! The pastries are fresh and delicious, I stopped by for breakfast and I was brought to the verge of tears with my first sip of perfectly brewed tea. Turkish radio in the background took me back in Istanbul!

Istanbul Borek & Kebab is a family owned Turkish restaurant located at the intersection of Anderson Ave. & Lawton Ave., in Cliffside Park. I have been their client for more than 10 years, and i have enjoyed eating to their previous smaller restaurant as much as I am enjoying now visiting their bigger, newer one. The food is always fresh and very flavored, cooked daily on the premises. The bread and pies are homemade right there, besides the food. I never miss the Istanbul Borek meat pie, no matter what else I chose from the menu. In a cold day, please try their soups - homemade and very tasty. The Adanas are amazing, and the babaganoush is unforgettable. The store offers a wide variety of homemade deserts, from the famous middle Eastern baklava with pistachios or walnuts, to American birthday cakes. For their relentless work and quality offered to the community for so many years, i would like to give credit where credit is due.

Good Turkish patisserie, with good service and environment. They have many different options , the menu is rich and at least the items we have tired was good In a breakfast package, the Turkish tea per cup charge is not repesenting the real Turkish breakfast experience will be my only negative feedback , but at least the tea was tasting nice Beside that they have some Turkish sweets like baklava and some nice birthday cake options, which i did not taste but the declaration were looking nice Enjoy your food

Very pricey, food is not that good either, there were 3 of us today and we end up paying around $165 , would not recommend. I had to edit this review. I just found out that on top of the tip we gave wich was about $15 they went and charched my debit card $8 extra without my authorization. If that isn't theft I don't know what it is. They call themselves Muslims but steal from others. Hypocrisy. I question their food being halal. For sure I would never go there again

Food is bland and flavorless. serving size is small and expensive. They stack half of your plate up with frozen shredded vegetables. They also have the evil eye sign on every single thing… creeps me out.. considering it’s haram. When you order a cold drink they give it to you without ice…very unprofessional in many ways. The only nice thing is the decor and Turkish coffee Never coming back

Wonderful ambience, food was delicious, service was excellent. Great for families or large groups due to ample seating. Recommend: hummus, falafel, Chicken Adana/Shish Combo
