User Reviews

Amazing Indian restaurant. This is a truly authentic experience. The food, music, servers, atmosphere. All of it! We were served by great staff who entertained our every question and request. The food is generous portion sizes and delicious. Highly recommend.

The food was great, but surprisingly terrible service. We ordered a curry and there was a miscommunication between different servers and they brought us a completely different curry. The server insisted that we still should eat it anyways, we said we would like the curry we ordered. The two waiters argued next to us and then later brought out the right one. But only gave us one small bowl of rice for 2 curry orders?? Asked if we could have a bowl of rice for my wife's curry but they said- nope, that's for both orders. I looked at everyone else's tables and they had curry and rice. They avoided us for the rest of the night trying to get our check. Weird dudes. Honestly I couldn't help but laugh how comically bad the service was. But hey great curry and rice...if you get both.

I can’t say enough good about this place!! The food and atmosphere are authentic and exquisite. The Chicken Tikka Masala is as good as any I’ve ever tasted. The rice is incredibly aromatic and tasty. The owner is almost always the one to greet you at the door. You can tell that he takes pride in and is extremely passionate about the quality of every guest’s experience. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s working!

Appealing interior decorations and fast food service don’t make up for non-personnable service and uninspiring cuisine. India Palace has a prime location on Center Street, and judging by other reviews and signage at the front door has garnered an avid following from local restaurant-goers. We were seated quickly and presented with menus, which is composed of what you’d normally expect from an Indian restaurant. Having selected a couple of curries we admired the interior, which is aging but fairly well-kept and fits the theme of the restaurant well. The food arrived quickly and the rice and naan provided were plentiful, though the ratio of curries to rice was lacking. The portions of curries were a tad smaller than I would have expected for the price point, and the flavors showed certain American influences. The Chicken Tiki Masala, for example, came in a sauce with significant notes of tomato, which dominated the flavor profile and obscured whatever other traditional spices may have been used. The two other curries that we got seemed equally Americanized; they were both good (though the meat varied, one curry had drier meat while another was appropriately moist, YMMV) but just about average; nothing particular special and nothing particularly detrimental. The service, though attentive, is severely lacking in giving customers any kind of personal connection to the server or establishment. Our server seemed to rush through interactions with us and created a sense of pressure in the ordering process, deferring us hurriedly to the three or four most commonly-known Indian curries when asked about his personal favorite dishes from the menu and then immediately asking which of them we would be ordering. All of these factors combine to a rating of three stars. Not great, not awful, but nothing exceptionally impactful either. (Price range indicated includes final costs after taxes and gratuity)

India palace is SO. GOOD. If you love Bombay house you will love it here just as much. I love the music, the service is always incredible, and the food is AMAZING!! Huge portions and delicious. Also they mean business about spice….medium is hot… My favorite place in Provo

It's by far my favorite Indian restaurant in Utah. Food is very authentic. Drinks are great. The mango lassie is delicious. My dish of choice is Chicken Tiki Massala (medium). I like spicy foods and "medium" choice is a perfect level for me. And I need to mention their rice. Its perfection! Normally, I am not a big fan of cardamom, infact I barely can't stand cardamom when it's used in normal food. But when it's used properly (like in "India Palace" rice), it's amazing spice. So, In the vicinity, then stop by if you not in a vicinity of this restaurant, then drive there. Trust me, you wouldn't be disappointed.

Amazing food 🥘 India Palace is a great place to meet with friends in a perfect location in the center of the city. It is my favorite place to meet with people when they are visiting town: great food and walking to everything is nearby.

Food was so fresh, delicious, Beautiful atmosphere. Decent pricing. Wonderful experience. We had the Tikka Masala and Mango Chicken Korma with garlic naan. Chef's kiss.
