Wonderful meal. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The decor is awesome. But the food..oh it was superb. We started with the wild game sampler all of them were tasty. Then my husband and i shared had the bison filet with risotto & my son had the bison burger. All dishes were cooked correctly and had good portions. I definitely recommend that your trip to Estes Park include a stop here.
We had dinner here for the first time. I had their black and blu burger with bacon on top. Their fries were tasty too. It was really good. The atmosphere is unique as they have a restaurant with stuffed animals every where and then a side area where their bar is. We made reservations ahead of time. Pretty busy when we were there.
So many amazing things about Hunters Chop House! The service, the food, views all of it was it amazing! We ordered the brat sampler and Brussel spouts to start. My husband got the elk chop while I had the bison sirloin - both were AMAZING! I know it's about the meat but the risotto was beyond delicious! It was a our 5 year anniversary and our server treated us to the most amazing cheesecake! Will definitely be back again!
First time there and it was excellent. Kobe burger and Bison burger were over the top. The onion jam was great ..true medium the way we ordered.. everything hot. One of the largest liquor selection I’ve ever seen.Bartender was excellent and the whole staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend this in Estes Park.
Went to Estes Park for a birthday trip, and wanted a birthday dinner. I originally had a reservation for Twin Owls, but after comparing reviews and menus here on Google Maps, I changed my reservation. It ended up being almost across the street from where we were staying! So happy I made the change. Hunters has such a nice ambiance. Perfect setting for the cuisine. Love the drink selection! Local IPA, cocktails, and one of the best wine selections I've seen in Estes Park. We started with the Smoked Trout Cheese Dip. So delicious and cheesy! The artichokes added a slight tartness. I was craving a basic steak dinner, and the Ribeye hit the spot! Cooked exactly to medium rare, with a delicious char on the outside. I devoured my birthday meat like a rabid caveman. The loaded potato and asparagus went perfectly with my steak. My wife ordered the Bison Oscar Sirloin with Barley Risotto. The Bison was a little overcooked, but not enough to make much difference in flavor. The Oscar Hollandaise was so good. The risotto was creamy and delicious. For dessert, they gave me a piece of birthday cheesecake! Caramel Apple Cheesecake! It was soooo good. My wife got the Chocolate Mousse. It was rich and chocolatey! I'd like to thank our server and the entire staff for an amazing evening. Will definitely be back.
VERY good food and excellent service. Chef brought out the food and made sure everything was cooked and garnished to perfection. The BEST steak you will ever have. They care very much about nut allergies as well.
This place was fabulous! I highly recommend the game sampler for the app. It was 12/10 stars for us! Both of our meals were SO GOOD! I had the ribeye and my husband had the elk!
Visiting from New York with a large party and all of us were shocked on how great every item of food was, including the wait staff. The waiter (Richard) was fantastic. The wild game sampler is a good starter for 2-4 people that gives a good look into the different varieties of meats, the bison Oscar Sirloin was packed with flavor and was cooked perfectly, and finishing off with the raspberry cheesecake topped off a great dinner
