Breakfast Menu "Huddle House" Hiawassee

Food was good. Only the cook and 1 waitress there. She worked hard to serve everyone. Nice and quiet when we visited, 7pm on Friday. Didn't have chili for my hash browns, but that happens. Steak and eggs was good. But, the eggs were cooked to much. I ordered over medium and the yolk was cooked almost to completely. It was clean inside. Bathroom needed attention. Plenty of parking.

Not quite 100miles away from my New Jerusalem where Cousin Patty was waiting on me, I needed a quick pit stop refresher. Thinking also something to nosh might be a good idea, though also wanting something new to me, something I have never tried before. Looking up fast, I see… “Huddle House”. Guessing it’s like that Waffle Casita but for football players? (Ohhh what do I know?!) And it most likely will be a ‘quiet & solemn meal’, what with all the heavy iron horses in the lot, right? Right??? Egads! 🤦🏻‍♂️ — Yo, did I misread this paperback cover! #PrayAndHeavenAppears Not three hot seconds in the door, Archangel “Hope” greets me, sits me, and proceeds to attend to me like the good mama she is to her own daughter (“my baby… in college!”) — a genuine smile! Soon, Seraphim “Savannah” takes my order, “No, sir. We no longer serve chili on hash browns. But can I get you extra lemon in your water?” and rehydrates me as she saw duly necessary. Lastly, the Chef du Jour, Cherubim “Peyton”, prepared my crisp shrimp basket & fries like it’s Manna from… …ha!… you guessed it! 😇 💥 Need I say more, y’all?! 👍 Stop in! Set yourself down a spell! It’s fine comfort food. Simple and unassuming. With comfortable peeps. And do tip these hardworking waitresses bigly, please, cuz the times are so tough. Make no mistake: these here smart gals are quite independent and know well what’s what! Impressively amazing! That’s the America 🇺🇸 I know and love! 🤠 {Bless your heart, sweet ladies, y’all served me, graciously alleviated my tiredness, and made me blush so. 💛😔}

Our large family stopped in on a Sunday morning heading back to Ohio from our vacation. Very friendly staff, good food and quick service especially being very busy! Thanks for the awesome breakfast, bellies full before we have our 8.5 hour ride home 😊

Our server, Hope, was FANTASTIC with her service and super helpful with her food recommendations! The food was delicious and exactly as we ordered it, there were 5 of us and 3 of us were pretty particular upon ordering. Hope took it with stride and made us feel right at home! FANTASTIC MEAL EXPERIENCE!

Hope is absolutely AMAZING!!!! She definitely keeps the restaurant going and employees. We waited over an hour for food as they were busy. Hope never slowed down and kept a great attitude even with everyone hollering for her help or remakes!! This restaurant would be in trouble without her!! Cooks worked great together just need to make sure food gets done. The cook in the middle (cooking hash browns, bacon, etc…) took a lot and kept going! He was even kind enough to apologize for the wait and asked about our food after we received it!!

Had a wonderful time at huddle house! Great service, good food and our server Savannah went out of her way to give us hike suggestions for the area! Great place to go for breakfast!

Not clean only 1 waitress and the tables had dirty dishes nobody cleaning. 1 waitress 1 cook. Had Western omelet. No tomatoes poor service will not go back again. Suppose to get free waffles on Wednesday. Was not offered. Waiter never did come back to our table.

My husband and I eat here when we’ve in Hiawassee. The food is decent and consistent. What makes the difference is the service especially Hope. Hope is very attentive, friendly and helpful. She’ll call you darlin’ so be ready to receive her joy. Hope is one of the best servers we have had. We recommend pecan pancakes, eggs, patty melt and hamburger. Tasty and friendly best describes this huddle house!
