Love this place. Everything fresh, delicious, home made. All the standard diner fare but lots of cool twists like the Egg Nest, Spiked Potatoes, etc. Burgers are amazing. Great late night spot on the weekend. Staff is super friendly and efficient. A new tradition in Derry.
Looks small from outside but inside it's quite large and beautifully decorated. We were greeted at the door and seated immediately. The have a wonderful breakfast menu as well as interesting and extensive lunch and dinner menus. We all enjoyed our breakfasts, coffee was great and fresh. Anxious to sample more of the menu. Adequate parking on site. Enjoy
Friendly staff, great food, and reasonable prices. This has become my breakfast place of choice, and there isn't another I'd recommend over this. I like to change things up every so often, but I always end up back at the Onion. I would recommend cheesy browns, spiked potatoes, grilled muffins, pork chop, and the KS burger. The only downside is that when it's really busy finding parking can be difficult.
Best breakfast you can get in Derry! Far superior to Mary Anne's downtown. Prices are quite reasonable and the staff is the friendliest around. Only issue you might have is finding a parking spot at certain times of the day as it small and can get a bit crowded. However, your patience will be rewarded!
So many creative options deciding was a problem. So we tried a bit of everything. The corned beef hash was amazing, but everything else was really greasy. Left me feeling like there was a rock in my stomach. Try to avoid the griddle fried items and I think you'll be happy.
It was packed with people which is a good sign! Food was amazing! Service was average to good but the food made up for it. Prices are great and very affordable. I'll most likely become a regular here!
Went for breakfast...Cold potatoes..sent them back great microwave skills...scrambled eggs had whites all through them (not mixed enough before cooking), biscuit was cold and so the gravy was luke warm, then I find a hair in my potatoes, I stop eating completely...then last but not least took a sip of my coffee to find something green, hoping it was spinach, on the bottom of the inside of the cup....not even an apology...waitress dropped the check never to come back to the table bus boy cleaned the table and ran the credit card. worse $20 ever spent for breakfast.
This place is amazing. I have never had a bad meal here whether it be lunch or dinner. The eggs nest and burgers are unreal. I can't even think about eating at marryannes ever again after having the food here!
