Top notch food for great prices. Scott at the meat counter is very helpful and personable. The owners are such great people and they've been providing West Hartford with FANTASTIC FOOD for decades. It's impossible to waste money here.
It's a great little market for fresh meat for a good price and other bakery items. I only have one complaint and that is I feel like it's to cramped in their. Theirs just to much going on in a small area. And when it's busy it's just about impossible to move around. Apart from that everything else from staff to cleanliness Is great.
The meat market is good but the “boy” working the deli/sandwich counter is very surly. I never encountered such rudeness. Upon checking out I mentioned to the cashier his attitude and she said nothing,thereby compounding the issue. There are nicer places for me to spend my money. I will not return.
Awesome place to shop for meats and seafood and other items. Good quality meats.
Walked in and was treated like a Human being. Not a customer. They even brought stuff to the car for me. Greatly appreciated.
Rude counter staff asked for small change ( vegetable instead of pasta ) employee said it was weird and gave me an attitude. I was with immigrant explaining menu options, employee caught attitude kept saying I hear you with contempt. To top it off homeless man with pants down dragged a shopping cart in small packed store .
Halls is good above average. The place next door that is halls hot food and catering. Is TERRIBLE. You’re gonna charge $8 for 2 pieces of chicken and a scoop or Mac and cheese ok awesome. Then I have to instruct you as to make a plate. I say “can I have a lunch plate” blank stare.. pause..staring at eachother. She gestures down “which one?” Listen get another job or drink a Red Bull. So halls is good. Food is good service is always cool but the catering place. I should’ve walked out but..
