First time at this place and it was very good. My friend and I ordered the highly recommended veggie combo platter for two. It was very large so we weren't able to eat all of it (second pic is how we left it) so I'd say this could even feed three semi hungry people. My favorite part of the platter was the potato cabbage carrots. The lentils were good, but we're a little too salty for my liking, but it didn't take away anything from the overall meal. We ordered the lentil sambusas as well which were very good, but the platter could've filled us up itself just fine. Our waitress was VERY kind, so nice. She was so warm and welcoming, and I just felt so comforted and cared for. I would come here again to try more of their menu and the great service.

Starting with food: I got the shiro wot and spiced tea, my partner got the veggie combo (red lentil, split peas, atakit wot, and shiro wot), and we shared an order of lentil sambusas! Everything was amazing. The main dishes were super flavorful and very filling. My partner enjoyed the injera a lot and even just ate the extra plain when we got back home later in the day. You get a lot of food for the price and the cook was generous, he gave us an extra sambusa so my partner and I could split the appetizer evenly. The sambusas were delicious as well-- I loved it a lot because the wrapper was thin and biting into it reminded me of lumpia, a Filipino egg roll. The sauce for it also added a very nice spicy kick to the sambusa. As for service: The food does take a while since the restaurant is a small, local business. However, everything is worth the wait. Plus, the server and cook were extremely kind, always checking in on everyone. Very grateful for the hospitality and care that we received at this restaurant. Space: Small but very comfortable and the decorations were fun to look at. For a small place, there was a lot of space between each set of desks and it didn't feel crowded at all which was nice. Overall, loved the food and this restaurant a lot. I would definitely come back again and recommend this place to anyone wanting to try good Ethiopian food.

Good Ethiopian food options in Fremont. It has got about 20 seating place. It’s next to panda bear . For Vegetarian combo they stopped giving salad. They need to update the photos or should include salad as customers are expecting for the price they are paying. Food was little blend… needs to add more salt spice. Very helpful staff.

Tasty food, good service, clean place! The food was very basic, a bit sour but homely. For veggie platter we got Red lentils, chicken stew and potato with mix veggies- all were delicious. Injera (the dosa) was soft and light. Doro Wot has subtle spicy flavour. The owner was very humble and welcoming. It’s a great place for clean and healthy meals.

My daughter and grand kids are here today as I never had Ethiopian food. I found that the flavors were amazing, ordered the veggie platter n meat platter and was the perfect serving for 4 of us. The service was great and it was a great experience to try another countries delicacies🥰

Love this place! All the dishes are tasty and the owner is super friendly and always happy. Regularly ordering from them and recommending to try the veggie platter.

This is a small family run restaurant. The food tastes amazing. We always get the veggie platter and the mushroom dish on their menu. Consistently tastes great and an absolute go to for Ethiopian food. Their tiger tea is pretty interesting too!

1st time trying this place. Simple place with simple decor, but amazing food. Had the meat combo platter and was VERY happy eating this. I loved everything about this. Flavors was big, but not overwhelming. The platter came (with 3 different meats - lamb, chicken, and beef) and a veggie greens side along with a nice tangy salad which compliments the flavors. There was injera under the food, as well as some rolls for eating. The lady running the place I presume is the owner, is extremely nice and friendly. I’ll be back for sure, and I’m sure this will become one of my favorites!
