This product is definitely not a Margherita Pizza ! This is just a piece of garlic-flavoured dough. And very oily, there is not even a paper backing between the box and the product so that the fat is absorbed. I did not enjoy food. And the difference between the pictures on the website and in life speaks for itself.
I tried the Greek salad with chicken today from here, first time visitor. The veggies were fresh but the chicken was old. It was hard, unseasoned and rubbery at the same time, I could also tell it had been sitting for a while. I had to take all the chicken off that I paid an extra $3.99, for it was not edible at all. I also ordered a piece of their chocolate cake, and that was mediocre also. I most likely won't be returning.
I had never heard of Gus's pizza until I started my new job and saw them getting delivered. I tried a simple cheese pizza slice and was immediately hooked. I told my boyfriend about it, wanting him to try it, and yesterday was our chance. It was just as good as I was expecting it to be. When we first walked in, we got our order placed, and our food came out at a decent time, sizzling hot from the oven. The pizza and the cheesy garlic bread were amazing. It was just as good as I thought it would be. When it came time to leave, we had some leftover that we wanted to take home. All I had to do was get up, and the gentleman at the front knew that I was coming up for a box. We will certainly be coming back for the pizza and trying other menu items.
The chicken Alfredo is amazing! The best I have ever had, if you have not tried it yet you definitely should. The fried pickles are so good, the pickles still have the pickle crisp texture. The fried mushrooms were also top notch. Homemade ranch, delicious. This was my first time getting food from this establishment and I will be returning and recommending to my friends. Thank you gus's for the quality food and friendly service!
Good pizza but is it $5/slice good? Nah. The flyer they leave around Tempe have lower prices than in-store; I thought I would be getting a $4/slice but was misled. Crust isn’t great, not crispy on the bottom, but holds the ingredients on top. $13 for 2 slices is ridiculous, I wasn’t even full after. Regardless, Gus’ works in a pinch. A redeeming part is the 24/7 availability, good for after a party or work. Inflation plus operating costs to keep the place open constantly makes the prices insane. Guy taking my order seemed kinda fed up, I’d be too if I was working the overnight shift. Of course I’ll always love this place for its niche qualities, but if you want a purely better tasting NY slice, go to Slices on Mill, they’re open til 3AM Fridays and Saturdays.
Well I have to say, I am impressed. Not only is the size of the pizza OUTRAGEOUS the quality is really great. Highly recommend because the service is faster than I have ever seen.
9/16/2023 5:30 pm. I decided to call and try your pizza, lady put me on hold for 5 min. The nerve on this lady is so arrogant no patience at all. I said I got this flyer I like to try your pizza the chicken buffalo she goes, hold on hold on, is this pick up or delivery? Delivery I said. Well that's gonna be 1hr. To 1 hr and 1/2. I said okay, she hung up on me. That so rude and un professional. If you cant handle your job you need to find something else you enjoy. Preferably not helping people cause she cant even handle a pizza place. Do not call this place people. Call pizza hut! P.S. dont leave any flyers on my door if I cant call in deliveries!!! So annoying! And dont hang up on people just because they said yes they will wait for 1hr or so!!!
Our favorite pizza joint just got better! We finally tried the calzones. Oh my goodness are they yummy.! If you have the time, you should dine in. The food is hot. The folks here are fantastic! Best Calzones I’ve ever had. No lie. Try it, you won’t regret it. By the way, the fried mushrooms are seriously delicious as well!
