My first time, and I am visiting from Florida. What a hidden gem! The food and service were amazing and I love the atmosphere. Cocktails were great we had a Moscow mule and old fashioned. My mom had the filet and I had the shrimp and scallops with bacon and corn risotto (to die for!) The strawberry tart should be added to the menu we were practically licking the bowl! Great job to all the staff and hard workers!

Delicious food and a charming atmosphere are what this place have going for it. The cook staff was excellent and even checked on me, but the wait staff and management didn't have a sense of urgency and I ended up waiting for a very long time for soup I could see sitting at the counter ready and to pay even though I watched the manager just chatting and chatting. I love supporting small restaurants though and I really do recommend this place if you aren't in a hurry. I also saw an impressive bar on my way out, so I would love to see what drinks they offer.

My wife and I were in town and on the recommendation of a friend we came to GDC. The atmosphere was of a cool old store with the wood floors and cool deco. We started with the Pork and Asian veggie egg rolls and the Tonkatsu pork. Both apps were good but they weren't hot when they came out so that didn't help the fact that they were kind of bland. Salads came with both our meals and I got the champagne vinaigrette dressing that was delicious. for the main course my wife got the Shrimp scampi, she said that the grits were dry and could have used a little sauce or just made better. I had the Kevin's beef medallions which were ok, the beef wasn't as tender as others I have had and they definitely needed some salt. Now for the amazing part of the meal...the desserts. On our servers recommendation we got the tart and crème brule. The tart was out of this world, probably in the top 5 desserts we have ever had. It had a delicious cream layer that they make in house and the sauce was nothing like we have ever had. The crème brule was delicious but the sugar was torched a little to long and it was a little bitter. I still enjoyed it though. We feel that the main meal was a 3 star but with some small changes could definitely make it 4+ but the desserts pushed us into the 4 star range. The staff was very friendly, the kitchen staff was constantly going in and out of the door we sat next to but they did ask about our meal and experience. We would go back when we are in town again.

Best eats in Burke County. A little crazy busy - just order two cocktails when you sit at the bar and relax in the bustle. Lunches are quiet and same great food.

First time eating here. First impression was good. Great looking menu with good options. Then I noticed the flies. And the yellow sticky fly catchers hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen. That is a no go - please invest in some electronic fly traps! Also employees coming in through the backdoor straight into the kitchen, handling the fryer without ever washing their hands is gross. So is the cook putting on gloves without washing his hands first. Please educate your staff with some foodhandling classes before you make a patron sick. My lunch tasted really great. This restaurant has potential.

Food is good and the drinks are nice. They’re definitely banking on there not being other places around to eat as their prices are definitely inflated for portion size and food quality. Don’t go on a holiday as their holiday menus are exorbitantly priced compared to regular for the same portions and slower service times. Bar prices are greatly inflated compared to other local options and they don’t have draft service. I’ve always understood it to be pricey food or pricey drinks not both for a local spot. Overall not a bad place to go once or twice, but I definitely don’t see it being a regular spot to hang out with friends.

Very cool little place ! Excellent food and drinks!

Hidden gem tucked away in historic Waynesboro GA. You will be pleasantly surprised! Charming atmosphere and decor. Food is good. Drinks are good. People are good. Staff will make you feel like family while filling your tummy. It was very refreshing not to be served something other than your typical southern food. Will not disappoint.
