Arrived around 8:30 pm on 6-10-23. Waitress seemed overwhelmed and didn’t seem happy. Service was good though. Restaurant was clean. I was happy to see my favorite dish back on the menu (open faced roast beef) however it was of poor quality. The roast beef was thin and dry. Hard to chew. The bread was toasted which I’ve never seen before and the corn was dry and crunchy almost inedible.
Pretty good place. My first time here. My turkey sandwich was deceivingly filling. I thought it looked small but it was perfect in size, I also got some very yummy onion rings.
Way better than I remember from the early 2000’s, but it’s still a chain restaurant with nothing unique to share. The grits however were perfect, especially for Ohio. The eggs and hash browns were really good too.
**UPDATE - Frisch's responded wanting information that's already in the review. The solution would be to fix patrons what is pictured in the menu and buy higher quality ingredients. There is no need to make further contact. Train your staff better. The fries were hot, the smashed burger was not! The side salad was bottom of the bag days old salad with more carrots than lettuce! The burger was smashed, which is fine if that's what's advertised on the menu. All of the cooked food was over cooked and overly salty. Would be great if the server refilled the water during our meal instead of us asking for more at the end of our meal. Barely any condiments on the cheeseburger. There was no wait, but we did arrive before the lunch crowd.
The food was delicious! Onion rings were fabulous!!! But the most important thing was the service and our server Chelsea was one of the best servers I have had in quite a while eating out!! We need more like her!!!
We often come to Frisch's after church for the breakfast buffet. It's not the best, but it's good. The last couple times we have had Sarah M as our server. She's super nice and checks on us often even though we get the buffet. She also keeps my drink full which gets her 20+% tip. Normally I tip 15% when I'm getting my own food from the buffet, but this lady gets the full 20+% because she's an excellent server. It's nice to not be forgotten just because we get the buffet. Thank you Sarah M. We will continue to ask for your section every time we go to your store.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I pulled up for some dessert, sat at the window for over 5 minutes at 9:30. They didn't close until 10, and were cleaning up and putting away silverware, I could hear them talking while I waited at the window since the speaker was broken. I would have waited longer but I didn't know if it would be pointless since they didn't even have the courtesy to come to the window and tell me they closed early if that was the case. I was patient and tried to pass the time while waiting for them to notice my car but apparently they just didn't care. I never leave reviews or complain, but I've never been ignored in a drive thru or any sort of restaurant. Just disrespectful.
We got 2 big boy platters, chili spaghetti, and mozzarella sticks. Mozzarella sticks were doughy inside. Fries were half cooked, still hard. Broccoli wasn't warm, let alone hot. I still paid and tipped. I'm greatly disappointed because we were just here a few days ago and everything was great😞
