As a child, family ate in for ice cream sundies and took out dinner specials. Also took a quart of ice cream home. It was a family restaurant ..a great place. There was a number of them in my hometown area in those days. After school (high school), a group of kids would get together and head for Friendly....good memories.
We had a great experience during this Friendly's visit during a National Ice Cream Day scoop promotion. Our family received the most generous scoops of ice cream that we've ever seen and we loved every bite. We could tell that the employees were a little behind in getting orders together which can be difficult when the product that you're creating is melting while you make it. The employees worked together to help us and get us everything that we needed in an orderly manner. Thank you!
I was in a group of 5 and we went in around 7:30pm on a Saturday. It was pretty busy. We each ordered ice cream. It took 30+ minutes to come out. Our waitress was nice and I'm hoping that wait time isn't a regular occurrence. Not in a great part of town, so you'll see all types of people.
Always a great experience because the staff are so friendly and courteous! It appears they are closing this staple store and tearing down the building. What a tragic decision. It's the perfect example of corporate greed. The building is falling down, but the employees are loyal and dedicated and show up to work. They should rebuild it because the community suffers with the loss of another established anchor and the jobs as well. I wish the employees well!!

The food was good, the waitress was very snotty. We had stoped in on Sunday on are way back home from Hershey park, the waitress we had ignored us, because it was me, my 7 year old nephew, my sister, and her boyfriend. We were still almost 2 hours yet to home when we made it there. We hadn't eaten anything that day and we were all getting hungry so we stopped there to eat. When me and my sister ordered are ice cream that we had it took her 20 minutes before she came over and took the order for are ice and another 20 to give them to us. Then when she came with are check, we used $30 dollars on one card and my sister paid the rest witch was $30. She refused to give the check back, and she told them to sign and put down 10 percent of what the check was, it would end up being $60 because she wanted $30 dollars from each one. And when we told her when she asked if we were going to give the tip we told her sorry not today. She went and ripped into us and said you know I have to pay 10 percent of what you don't give me, and told us all, because she was yelling at us about it and she turned and told use if you don't have the money to give for me a tip then you should of never came out and ate there. So to make things clear we will never be going back to eat there.
I love coming here! Food is always yummy... Sometimes there's a wait if it's super busy but I've never waited longer than 10 minutes! Service is prompt, wait staff is friendly too! No regrets about this restaurant at all!
I’m originally from Westchester and we had one Friendly’s shut down around the time I was pregnant with my son. 10 years late I find one in Broome County! Best ice cream hands down and their food is delicious as well! Glad my son is able to enjoy one of my childhood favorites!
