Horribly understaffed today. We like to stop on road trips along I-90 as it's "off the beaten path" but not too far out of the way. Today they had one waitress for the entire place, struggling to keep up with customers. One party after us was seated but left after waiting 10+ minutes without even getting asked for drink orders. Another party seated themselves after waiting several minutes up front, and when the manager finally made an appearance on the floor, we overheard her surprise when she asked how they were doing, only to learn they hadn't received any attention yet. But then a few minutes later I could see the Mgr in the kitchen texting, not really showing much interest or urgency in helping the lone waitress. Two of us ordered meals that came with ice cream but it was taking so long for everything and we felt so bad for the overworked waitress that we just asked for our check before ice cream was even ordered. Plus they had these 5 or 6 of these weird standalone heating units around the dining room (photo), must have been a problem with HVAC. Looked like that scene from ET. They really should have had at least one more waitress and one more cook on duty.

Meh. Kudos to the staff who were obviously short staffed and trying to keep up, but the food was just average and the men's room labeled as handicapped accessible with a wheelchair on the sign was anything but. No railings, and the door was barely wide enough to get my brothers chair through. The door was also blocked from fully opening by the trashcan just inside. They also had a terrible prtioning on the french fries with their sandwiches.

Came here with my partner, brother in law and his two kids along with his girlfriend and her two kids two weeks ago on Saturday for lunch. The food wasn’t even good at all. And we had to wait for a long time to get our food. They served us our lunch but no forks or knifes to use and they took forever to take the menus from us which I thought was odd. The waitress was apologetic but when my brother in laws girlfriend ordered desert as our lunch came out to make sure we had it and didn’t have to wait so long; we ended up waiting 35 minutes for 4 ice creams for the kids. No reason for the horrible service. It wasn’t busy and there was a table much larger than ours that was sat 10 after we were seated and they got served quickly and was gone before us. The manger was ignorant because she didn’t stop to apologize nor did she acknowledge us. Spent more than 2 hours in this place. Never coming to this place ever again.

I want to start by saying that I used to like Friendly's a lot. A lot. That Friendly's is gone, and this place is just overpriced diner food. It also seems that every the portions have gotten smaller and prices have increased. I just went here with my wife, my niece, and my nephew and the service was horribly slow. It took almost 40 minutes from when we were seated to when we got our food. Then it took another twenty minutes to get two ice creams to go. The seating is also the worst I've ever experienced. There is barely 6 inches of space between the booths so it feels like you are being forced to have a meal with people you don't know no matter their level of showering and manners. You are also now forced to pay using a stupid tablet device that takes way too much space on the already cluttered tables. Friendly's is gone.

One word: mediocre.... I went here to celebrate my birthday as something nostalgic, casual, and with a variety of sundaes. My soup appetizer came out ice cold. Dinner was nice and hot, but that's about all that was decent. My mom's hot fudge sundae was brought out, "completed"- but with no hot fudge! The wait staff were nice enough, but the service was slow considering we went on a Tuesday and it was pretty dead. Unfortunately, I got to see why Friendly's isn't doing so well lately. :( I probably won't be back to this location to eat in, but can't say I'll never get another Jim Dandy thru the ice cream window! :)

Stopped in here last night for a late dinner with my son after a day at funplex. The food was fantastic and very affordable. The kids meals were like $6 and included the meal, fries, a drink, and an ice cream sundae! I went with a turkey melt and fries, also for $6. Adult dessert was very large and also around $6. All in all the price was surprising for what we received and my son was already asking to come back again before he was done with dinner. With these prices I happily said absolutely we can come back here again. Our server was friendly, helpful, and great with the kids (8 and 10) and we didn’t have to wait long for our food to come out. I think the ice cream took longer than the actual meal portion to be served. They only serve breakfast until 11am but they have breakfast menus out so all that did was make us want to order breakfast. We are no planning on getting over to this Friendly’s for breakfast this week and see how good that is too.

I have now been to this Friendly's 3 different times, only once did everything go smoothly, but all 3 times there was a long wait for something. However, this time was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. It took them about 15 mins to sit our table of 4 in a half empty restaurant. We then waited about 20 mins just for drinks and to order soup and an appetizer. One of our group got coffee and the waitress never cared to come by and fill it up again. 30 mins later, our waitress brings 2 bowls of cold soup that we had to ask to have microwaved so it was edible. The mozzarella sticks were also cold and disappointing. Over half an hour later, we get our meals, minus one extra side we ordered. But at that point we all had enough and asked to take our food to go and had them take the missing side off the bill. Now I understand that stuff like this happens when restaurants are busy, but this place was half full with a relatively full staff (about 10 people including 3 in the kitchen). It was pure chaos for whatever reason and it was absolutely horrible. To top it all off, our waitress was incredibly rude and condescending. I will go anywhere else before I ever come here again.

Amy was our server and did great. Great food. Small place, so may need to wait for service, but ended with deserts that left is all happy. Would recommend. Better than steak and shake and established in 1953.
