We are from out of town and sadly, they closed all of the Friendly's restaurants in our area (Central VA). I was sooo excited to incorporate this restaurant into our trip. Unfortunately, it is so stale, musty and just weird-smelling, we got sundaes to go rather than eating in like we planned. When I asked to get it to go, the server looked at us like we had three heads. Two sundaes- $16. The carpet tile should have been replaced about 10 years ago as it was sticky and I am sure holding a lot of the objectionable odors. The sundaes weren't bad, but were kind of slapped together. There is another location in Wilkes-Barre which looked much nicer, but we did not go inside. I wish we would have found that one instead.

HORRIBLE!! The Food Was Horrible, There Was Dirty Napkins Under The Others Tables! My Moms Tomato On Her Sandwich Was The END Of A Tomato Who Uses The END Of A Tomato & Serves If Like That....I Think They Used Mcdonald's BBQ Sauce The BBQ Sauce Isn't Even Like It Used To Be!! My Husband Usually Eats All Of His Food & He Didn't Clearly Like The Food At All If He Didnt Finish It This Place Is A DUMP!!!

If you want to eat your food cold this is the place to eat . This was my second visit and to this location and it was as bad as the first. The soup was cold and my son's Mac and cheese was cold when I sent it back it was microwaved until it was scalding hot. I had a turkey club witch was cold and some burnt fries . Can't believe friendly puts there name on it. Pictures of burnt fries and watered Mac included

Embarrassing! We waited to be seated with three active children while the manager stood behind the counter having a personal conversation before disappearing for the rest of our visit likely to help cook. 4 doordashers and 2 online orders waited over half an hour. 4 of 6 still there when we left. A family sitting behind us left because their food took too long. The women's bathroom was closed and I overheard a waitress telling someone that it's because it needed to be cleaned. Also the waitresses used their own money to make change because no one provided a till for them. The two waitresses were amazing. They hosted, took orders, ran the register, ran the food, made all the desserts, cleared tables, and likely helped cook. Our waitress even offered us crayons for the kids. Those two deserve better than this location! Food and ice cream was good no complaints on that. We enjoy Friendly's, but we won't be back to this location.

Went to friendlies for breakfast. The eggs were not done as I had asked the food was cold the coffee was lukewarm. I had to send the food back I had ordered pancakes that came with the breakfast they were ice cold and dry I don't know what to say this place used to be Top Notch something happened and they've gone severely downhill. On the second round the coffee at least was hot. However our waitress was wonderful not her fault that the cook did not know how to cook. I've had better eggs at home.

Hard to find a Friendly's any more. Difficult to tell if it was open. Follows social distancing and staff wore masks and seating areas were cleaned appropriately after diners finished. Usual Friendly's fare. Had one of my favorites. Reeses Peanut Butter Cup sundae with Forbidden Chocolate ice cream. Just like I remember. My friend had vanilla that was blah but he liked the Forbidden Chocolate . Curbside pick available. Sad to see an institution that holds many childhood memories dying. Get there while you can!!

Everything about friendly's is always AMAZING! The servers are so sweet, the food is awesome, and service is SO fast (: and can't forget about all the ice cream (: (:

This place does not live up to its name sake. My first impression of the restaurant was that it was going to be a casual, family-friendly, 50's themed diner; For the most part, that's all there is to it. But, something felt off about the way that this establishment operated. Initially, unlike the name would suggest, the staff didn't return our greeting and even acted cold towards us as we entered the building. We were seated quickly, but even our waiter carried the same confused and uninterested demeanor. There was only one person servicing customers and a host. The restaurant is awfully spacious, but I can't imagine it ever being at full capacity. It's interior is a more modern take on an old fashion diner, and primarily offers booth seating. The menu is extremely lengthy, which can be a little off putting for an Americanized diner. The wait it took to get our drinks, let alone food, was more than frustrating. There was a sign advertising a new ice-cream, and my guest had asked the waiter about ordering one. The waiter had managed to give him the most dumbfounded look, as if she had never heard of it in her life. Eventually they had informed us that they didn't have it, and my guest had opted for another flavor. If you're not going to have something, why bother evening advertising it. On a positive note, the most redeeming qualities of this diner is its food and pricing. Their food was very much worth the price in my opinion. It's a little more expensive than I would have initially thought for a diner, but the portions and taste more than make up for the difference. Maybe I had visited on an off night, but I can't see myself ever returning here again. The staff were not on brand and killed the entire idea I had built around a place called "Friendly's." I would recommend this restaurant to families, wondering travelers, and maybe a lunch-date. However, one can assume there are other places near by that might be a bit more friendly than here.
