Freskos has been on my bucket list for so long and I finally made it there! I went on $6 gyro night so of course I had to try the gyro. Can we just talk about how juicy the meat was and how flavorful it tasted? Because hello happy tastebuds! I paired it with the lemon potatoes, which tasted great on the side. The avgolemono was perfectly lemony as well, but the star was the baklava. There were so many layers to this baklava it looked like a slice of spaghetti. I have a new fave Greek spot and I’m ready to head back again stat.

I've been to Freskos several times now and felt it's enough to post a review. The restaurant is spotless, the staff very friendly and welcoming. But the food is delicious! Everything I've had is super fresh and well prepared. Its a little tucked away but I highly recommend seeking it out.

Been meaning to check out this greek spot for months after seeing multple posts from other reviewers. To keep it short I was disappointed. I ordered the village salad with chicken for about 16 dollars. The portion size was super small, definitely not worth the price. It was just ok, nothing to write more than a sentence about. It was a let down and I was still hungry after eating that salad. Maybe next time I ll grab a gyro instead.

I’ve been to Fresko’s twice now, and both times I’ve been impressed! The gyro is absolutely delicious, and I love their pita and tzatziki. The colossal gyro with French fries was an option I hadn’t seen at other places, so my boyfriend tried it and loved it! The baklava was a great dessert, and the banana truffle cookies were a bit artificial tasting but still good. Fresko’s is definitely my go-to for Greek food now!

Very good. I’ve been here before, about a year ago. Service was amazing and the restaurant was clean. I ordered through door dash tonight- food came very quickly. Got a gyro and grape leaves. You could tell the grape leaves were not old and were made fresh which is pretty rare for a lot of Greek places around here. Will never go back to Athena diner. Will just go here instead 😊

Ordered from Door dash, no delivery fee. Got my order quickly & it was delicious! Highly recommended the gyro!

Staying across the street, I decided to try Freskos. I have never had Avgolemono Soup before it was delicate and delicious. It is a Greek chicken soup made with orzo, lemon juice, chicken stock, eggs, salt and pepper. I am tempted to buy more to take home to Pennsylvania. The Greek Salad, something I have had elsewhere but Freskos and luscious fresh greens, feta, pitted olives (green and black) with the best stuffed grape leaves i have ever had. Topping off my wonderful simple meal was some fresh warm pita bread. If you are in Hamden to visit you must try Freshkos. I know I will come back and maybe tomorrow.

Got the gyro sandwich, & it was yummy! Flavorful and fresh. Also they were not greedy with the amount of sauce or food they gave in the sandwich was pretty Stuffed with meat
