User Reviews

The place was great! Competent staff and great food. We ordered thick cut bacon, tuna tartare, Brussel sprouts, and a cowboy steak! 🤩

Went here for a birthday dinner. Picked this based on reviews and area and we were not disappointed. This was the best steak house I have ever been to. I will note that I’ve been to one of the well- known ones and was not impressed. I love that this is family owned as I fully support small business. The food was both plentiful, delicious and presented beautifully - all equally important to me. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

We were celebrating a birthday here, it was a large party of 10, we were sat in the middle of the large room with a beautifully large chandelier above the round table. I love it when a place has specials and Frank's had some good ones this week. Since it was close to St. Patty's Day, they had corned beef rolls. So good! They also had thick bacon cuts(tasted more like ham). Anyway this is a steakhouse and I got the King Henry filet mignon. It was a lot of filet mignon (12oz) with mushrooms and bacon on top, unfortunately instead of medium rare it came out medium well, with only the middle being pink. These things happen with a large party that includes kids. It was tasty, but I had to use the sauce to keep the bites moist. Others had lamb chops, or a full rack of ribs or lobster tail with skirt steak. Service was fantastic, water glasses and drinks were attentively looked after. I will come back here for a 2nd more tentative review, hopefully the steak melts in my mouth next time.

Let's begin with what was good..... the steak, that's where it begins and ends. The atmosphere is old and worn with hideous decorations. The wine was sub par, the Cajun calamari was overcooked and came out so fast it must've been prepared way before and then threw in the fryer to warm it. We sent it back. The cream of spinach was like wall paper paste. And worst of all the rack of lamb (suppose to be med rare) was med well and had absolutely no flavor. Our waiter was nice enough, but we asked for a taste of wi e and got a full glass. He also seemed to be in a rush all the time, yet the restaurant was almost empty. The gentlemen from the kitchen who served the food looked miserable. I truly don't understand how they are still in business and getting good reviews at these prices! Unfortunately, we also sat next to a table of a family with three kids and grandparents who thought it was a playground.

The hostess greeted us upon entering an empty restaurant with “can I help you?” What do I look like I’m doing here besides trying to dine here? She went on to ask if I had a reservation and claimed she could accommodate us. Furthermore, there was a roach on the table next to us where another family was dining. They couldn’t believe what they were seeing and asked my husband to help. Sadly, I will not be returning to this establishment!

You can tell the food is high quality. The food and service was perfect. For appetizers, we had the calamari and crab cakes. Both of these items were awsome and would highly recommend. For entrées, we had two Cowboy Garlic Rib Steaks, which was fantastic. There was not to much fat and was tender. We also had the chicken Ala Hugo, which was very good as well. The creme spanish and the roasted garlic potatoes puffs was delicious. The food is expensive, but worth it. There are good sized portions.

My fiance and I had such an incredible meal. I had the surf and turf, which is the best I've ever had. Fun fact they even bring over a candle holder with the butter on top so it never hardens (game changer). My steak was cooked to perfection. Leo enjoyed his lamb. He said it beat many other other resturants. For dessert I highly recommend the cheesecake. It is delicious, perfect light and homemade. We will definitely be back. My mother in law gave a us a gift card for Christmas and we are so happy to finally have used it. The service was impeccable.

Frank's Steaks RVC ❤️ I frequent here often & help out when needed. Sitting at the bar, outside, or the dining rooms are all a pleasant experience. I have only excellent things to say about the food & employees (which most have been working here for 10+ years). They are one big family and so welcoming to all. The owner Chris is an amazing person and so passionate about the business. He is also great and flexible to work with to book parties, any size small or large. I admire how much he makes an effort to support local businesses by having different food & drink specials from Long Island & all of NY. 🍷 Most dressings and desserts are made in house - cheesecake, apple cobbler, chocolate mousse, blueberry cobbler, oreo cheesecake, etc 🤤 I will be heading there tonight 🥰👏🏼 I’m grateful they are open 7 days a week
