Food is amazing, the menu is extensive, prices are reasonable. The only complaint is that the waitress forgot to give me the potatoes that came with my dish. They always have rotating dishes, which are posted on a whiteboard. Support small local businesses!
Stop in here this morning for the first time. Unfortunately, we didn't have a great experience. We arrived before 10 am and were promptly seated. The wait staff is courteous and friendly. We are a family of 4 adults. We all order our food and coffee. Then, the wait began. After about 15 minutes we noticed that not one table in the whole restaurant had food on it...everyone was waiting for food. While the waitstaff was friendly and keeping drinks filled. Another 15 minutes passed and only one or two plates had been delivered. Another 15 to 20 minutes later our half of our food arrived. So, two of us was able to begin eating, while the other to sat. We asked the waitress what was the issue was, apparently there was either a cook shortage or an equipment failure, I'm not sure which or maybe both. Ten minutes after the first delivery we received the remaining food. This whole time I never once seen a manager or owner walk around to communicate to anyone. Regarding the food, we had French toast, omelet, southern bowl and a regular egg and bacon breakfast for the four of us. Due to the time issues obviously the food was at various levels of quality and temperature. So, I can't give it a fair assessment as to its taste. Overall our breakfast was nearly $60 before tip. We paid the full price and did tip the waitress 20%...the issues weren't her fault. The most disappointing thing was the lack of communication. And they kept seating people even though they knew there was an issue in the kitchen. Conclusion....we will probably never return. We will stick to our hometown restaurant in Almont.
Great diner. Super friendly. Marty, the owner, loves her customers and served excellent meals. She also supports local charities and high school sports.
Our waitress Marty was so sweet and really added to the wonderful diner experience. She was very comforting and kind and went above and beyond to make our experience good! Food was also top tier, enjoyed myself very much, it was my first time going in and I will definitely be going back!
Super friendly staff and we got our food quickly. The only reason I did not give it five stars is all their potatoes have skin on them and it made the whole dish taste like dirt, just wish I had a warning on the menu. Otherwise good experience!
Absolutely the definition of small town friendliness and good ol foods! Just had their stove top oatmeal and definitely falls in the home made category. Service is fantastic as is their bottomless cup of great tasting coffee. Be sure to grab a side order of their rye toast! Great friendliness and owner!
Had breakfast special #4. Two eggs, sausage and potato pancake with applesauce. Plump sausages, good sized potato pancake piping hot and crispy, with chunky applesauce. Only downside is I forgot to order toast for my over easy egg yolks but otherwise Yum!
Love this restaurant, everything I have tried has been excellent. The staff is super friendly and the environment is welcoming. Cant go wrong with stopping by and sampling the goods.
