User Reviews

The service was good during the dinner rush, and the team managed well. I personally didn't mind waiting a bit for a fresh burger and Cajun fries. Five guys makes a solid burger and for the price to have the burger made exactly how you want and not nickel and dimed for every topping, is refreshing, considering every other fast food place charges for modifications.

Asked for a hamburger. Very clear—and the cashier repeated back. I got a cheeseburger; and was charged for it. Because the order took so long, I said nothing — I didn’t want to wait any more. My wife’s hot dog was ready to go shortly after we sat down — we could see it. But we had to wait until my “hamburger” was ready. And even then the wait continued long after my number should have been called — I had to ask what happened to our order. This used to a great place — not so much anymore. And at $28 for a hot dog, hamburger and one order of fries — who are they kidding?

Super bomb! Super clean! Great tunes! Great team!

Amazing burgers, fries and the chocolate shake was great. Didn't care for the atmosphere, but it's a family friendly burger joint. Service was fast and friendly!

Amazing. Love the burgers here. A nice change from In & Out. Updated 11/2017 It just gets better and better. The concept here is pretty simple: Amazing burgers that have FLAVOR. Yes flavor. Unlike In & Out that has no flavor whatsoever Five Guys delivers big time. Pro Tip: Start of slow, add all the red line and ease into the black line of condiments. Try the combo that works best and you will be blown away. Oh yeah, Cajun fries all the way baby.

This is the worst Fiveguys I’ve ever tried going to. Today makes the second time I’ve come here only for them to be closed. Due to staffing. Maybe if they got better management they’d be able to retain their staff.

First & last time at Five Guys. The burger & fries were good...the unsweetened iced tea from their machine was gross (tasted like the flavors from all the other teas combined). Anyway, holy cow, I did not realize how expensive Five Guys is! $23+ for a burger, small fry, and drink. YIKES! The place is run by teenagers for goodness sake. The food was pretty good – I just don't think it's worth the cost. I'd rather go to a sit down restaurant and eat for that price. The Cliffdiver is less than three minutes away, has sit down seating (with full bar), better burgers, and cost $8 less. Go there instead, you'll thank me.

As far as customer service is concerned, this place is simply head and shoulders above the rest! On 1/23/23, I was on my way back from the local Post Office, when I decided to stop by FIVE GUYS to grab a SMALL order of fries to go. The name of the staff member behind the counter was MIGUEL. As I reached for my wallet to get a credit card to pay for my fries, MIGUEL said there was no need for me to pay as the order would be ON THE HOUSE. I asked WHY, and he said that it was simply something that FIVE GUYS would occasionally do to foster good feelings. I had had a bad day, week, month and year, so I simply couldn't believe it. I jokingly said that if I had known about the FIVE GUYS generosity beforehand, I would have requested a JUMBO order of fries :) Without batting an eyelid, MIGUEL replied that he would order up a JUMBO fries and that it would be ON THE HOUSE. I was speechless. I was prepared to leave a tip that matched the price of the order, but I didn't have any small bills, so I left only a small tip. I then thought of something I could do that might possibly reward MIGUEL and his company far more than a measly tip. I asked whether he would mind if I mentioned him in online reviews of FIVE GUYS, and he replied that he would not mind. Thus, you are reading my review! I was already partial to FIVE GUYS, but you have to know that from now on, I will be going to only ONE fast food location in Thousand Oaks, and that location is FIVE GUYS. Thank you very much, MIGUEL!!! :) PS The fries were simply OUT OF THIS WORLD. Nobody -- and I mean NOBODY -- serves up better french fries!
