The place is one of favorites to come and grab a coffee and do homework. It’s really cozy and the music just makes it perfect. They have amazing coffee especially the bourbon barrel Carmel mocha. The lighting is perfect. This is exactly the place to be on a dark rainy day.

Having still remembered the original location back in the day, I was interested to see what the "new" one was like. Although it definitely has a different feel from what it used to, it's still as nicer than the Mega chains. Drinks were very good and we found the pastries to be definitely above average. I notice they've also branched into some savory lunch and breakfast items. We really enjoyed the fireplace out front on the chilly day. Also nice that they have outside seating for warmer months.

Amazing drinks, service, and fruit parfaits! I had a cold brew green coffee and it was so good mixed with the herbal blend! Comfy couches, a nice fireplace to read next to. This is a wonderful place to study and relax.

I love this coffee shop. It has the best tasting coffee of all of the nearby coffee shops. It has great atmosphere and tons of outdoor seating. My friends love the fresh baked cookies and I love the sandwiches. Don't pass this by if you've never been.

It is not a third wave coffee place (which is what I think when I hear the name). Cozy place to work or read with a fireplace. Lattes are good (from what I hear). The Ginger dragon is worth a trip there. Many people love this place. I wouldn't go there for a great cup of coffee but not a bad place to meet with friends or work on a laptop.

Latte Wednesday’s ($2.50 any size) were by far the highlight of my week when I was a student. Sandwiches are delicious and pastries are made in-house. Barista’s are friendly and make the drinks as fast as they can. With great service it’s no wonder that the line can be out the door sometimes.

There’s really not a lot of coffee options in east Lansing. I’ve been going to espresso for a couple years now regularly because the coffee is better than Starbucks and 8/10 the service is fantastic. There’s just one lady who is super rude and short with customers. She makes customers feel awkward and unwelcome. Definitely doesn’t make me want to come back.

I dig Espresso Royale in general, but I really like this one for studying. It's got a very chill vibe, much less hectic than the one on Grand River. Don't get me wrong, I love bustling coffee shops, but sometimes you need to dig into a book without constant distractions. The baristas really keep this place clean. Drink are tasty, of course. Parking can be a hassle, though.
