User Reviews

They have the best empanadas around, over stuffed and delicious. I also love their pernil with yellow rice and maduros.

Good quality empanadas. Bad service. There was only two customers in the store, I was behind the first customer who was being served by one of the store workers. The other store worker did not acknowledge me until about 20 minutes, and still did not take my order. When I finally insisted, the two workers and the one customer looked at me as though I was doing something wrong. Don't come here if you have limited time to order and eat their delicious, creative empanadas.

Shame...I had such high expectations from their menu options. See receipt. Let the photos speak for themselves. The drinks were great! Spent over $40 and I'm Not returning.

As a family, we ordered 4 different empanadas - BBQ Mac and Cheese, Buffalo Chicken & 2 Southwestern (chorizo). My favorite was the buffalo chicken as I felt that had the most flavor. The southwest chorizo was also delicious. I wish the BBQ mac and cheese had a bit more flavor/spice then it did. Only other thing was we didn't know which empanada was which until we bit into it so we had to try them all and trade but other then that, would definitely eat again.

I want to thank FIOS1 Restaurant Hunter and Christine Sloan for shining a light on this location. I drive on Bloomfield Ave twice a day to and from work. I never knew some good food was close. We stop in today and I am so glad we did. We was greeted upon our entrance walked to the counter to place our order. My wife ordered two empanadas which ones I don't remember. I on the other hand ordered three one of each carnivore, vegetarian and sweet tooth. Buffalo chicken and gorgonzola, spinach and feta along with guava and cream cheese. Our daughter ordered two empanadas spinach and feta, kale, plantains and cheese. My wife ordered a side of sweet plantains. Now these empanadas are nothing to laugh about hefty hearty fulfilling. While waiting we were asked if you would like to try bread pudding. Of course after our meal my wife got some bread pudding to go. I will to no other place for empanadas except Empanada Lady Cafe.

Their empanadas are really good. They are not stingy at all with their food. The staff were really nice to us. We will be going there again.

Came from Ohio, heading to NYC. My daughter wanted some empanadas. She had the entertainment app and this place was listed with a percentage off discount. The lady there would not accept the discount, stated that she had not seen it b4. The address was clearly listed on the coupon. We went ahead and paid for the food bc it was already cooked. The food was decent , nothing to write home about, but I’d recommend asking about coupons b4 placing your order. We will not be returning bc we bel in loyalty.

The food was amazing and it is a very cool atmosphere. Their cocktails are seriously over priced though at $20ish dollars each
