I was looking for a Mexican restaurant in Downingtown and as luck would have it, came across El Tarasco. The food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were huge ( all for a very good price as well! ) The fajitas were a 10 out of 10 ✨ highly recommend this cute little place!

Good food, great dessert, but slow service, and the remodel is already coming undone We trid this restaurant for the first time. I heard it was remodeled after the flood about a year and a half ago but it looks like parts are coming apart especially the flooring. Other than that the decor is cute and I like that they play Mexican music. When you get there you seat yourself which is normal at places like this but we weren't given menus so I went up to get them. We got our complementary chips twice before our food, which I think took a little longer than average about 30 minutes. I had to go back up front because they forgot our drinks. The complimentary chips and salsa were pretty good and so was the rest of the food we got, but I really loved the tres leches cake. I'll definitely be going back to just get slices of that cake. Although I really don't like the chicken tamale, it was very bland and barely had any chicken or green sauce. The prices were reasonable so I can definitely see us going back again.

Fish tacos were great and a huge portion! Couldn’t even finish them. The homemade chips and salsa are delicious too!

I did take out. Got the shrimp ceviche and the tres leches. I've eaten Ceviche at many different places I have to say this one is at the bottom of the list. It tasted more like a citrus shrimp salad. They do give you a lot of shrimp but the shrimp is cheap farm-raised. And there was no avocado which I was disappointed about. It wasn't bad per se just not how I expected Ceviche to be made. It tasted bare to me for some reason. The tres leches was delicious.

Easily the most authentic and delicious Mexican food around! Wow! I’m speechless! I hope to try everything on the menu before the end of my life! I love it here! My kids love it here! A million stars tbh!

Excellent Mexican food, it's the kinda place you could just drive by a not really notice. It's worth a stop, was very happy with are food. Will definitely be returning.

Got the tacos Al Pastor Mexican style with refried beans as a side. The refried beans are tasty and have a texture to them that is really nice and makes me sure they are made fresh. The Al Pastor tacos have a good amount of meat and the spice level is perfect. The addition of chunck of pineapple is a detail that really makes this dish and also a detail that many Mexican restaurants miss. But El Tarasco gets that right. Amazing meal and a great price. They were even able to make sure that it would still look great even after I carried it back to my office. I will defintiely be returning.

Good food. I had the chicken mole. Best mole I've ever had. Reasonable prices. My only complaint would be the tortillas were too greasy. I think they use the same tortillas to make tacos which sometimes restaurants put the tortillas on top of the meat when it's cooking, making them greasy. Great for tacos but not for anything else. Parking is a little tricky but there is a lot up the street. 25 cents/hr.
