Food quality has decreased since new owners You order one thing they charge you for something else I ordered 3 queso birria tacos with consume I was charged for the meal ( didn't realize it until I got home ) Tacos had a half teaspoon of meat each time I've went I've also tipped via the square computer This is not the 3rd time i've wasted my money. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but I'm done
First of all the automated phone system they have is awful, the operator doesn’t register what you ask so you end up waiting for an actual human to answer the phone. The tacos were some of the worst I’ve ever had. They give you regular size tortilla to justify the price but the taco is less than half way full. The pastor was flavorless and the lengua tasted old. As a Mexican I would definitely not recommend this place.
A couple months back all the way to 3 years ago I would have given this place the 5 stars it deserves even 10 stars but today i just found out after not eating here for a while that the original cooks and staff have left. The food was amazing here hardly any squishy fat on the steak tacos now there's a hand full and they are less generous with the meat but will top it off with lettuce. Definitely miss the old crew that worked here. Definitely will have to look for another good taco place.
Good tacos definitely! The lines can get big on Dollar Tuesdays & Thursdays, maybe Saturdays ( I'm not completely sure if it's dollar tacos on Saturdays) but they are pretty quick either way. The only thing that took me by surprise is that they charge you for limes!!! and they still give you very thin slices so be aware of this if you like lime on your Mexican food.
I don't know what is happening. Gone to the Glendale Heights location for years and years. We loved it. Two times the orders have been wrong. Today we ordered 4 items and three were wrong. I could not eat mine and my daughter could not eat hers. We ran to Burger King.
Use to frequent this location tremendously when I live behind them on Cedar St. From 2005-2008 & the food was always good. Just went today 5/1/2023 & the food was way below average subpar, it really was shocking I purchased 2 fries & 1 Pastor Buritto, 1 Steak Buritto. Plus it should've been bogo with code & online purchase deducted at checkout/ Well it wasn't, manager was rude and I was very disappointed coming from a establishment I frequented on a regular basis. So check your receipts upon ordering. I give this location Glendale Heights 1 ⭐️ and plan on to never return. Los Tapitio in Streamwood IL will keep my business even though it has switched ownership. Sorry El Famous myself and family will not be returning to this establishment
Great food - the meat is always fresh, not chewy. Staff is always friendly & helpful.
¡Qué sabroso! No tengo hambre despues de mi visita al Famous Burrito, estoy muy lleno!! Super delicious tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3-taco dinner including al pastor, pollo, and puerco. Also loved the chile relleno and gulped down every sip of the house-made horchata. If you're in the Hoffman Estates/Bartlett area and love good food, a visit to get food from Famous Burrito is an absolute must!!
