Went on a Tuesday night after work and a pitcher of margaritas was like $12. Came with salsa and it was good. I got the shrimp tacos and my girlfriend got the al pastor enchiladas. Both was pretty delicious. We enjoyed our meals and will definitely go back again.

When I tell you this food was delicioso.. I'm telling you... It was awesomeness.. we will be back!!!

The food is excellent & very authentic. I have been going here for years. They have consistently blown me away with kindness and delicious food. It is all worth the price. You will end up taking some home!! Service is friendly and attentive, even when they are busy.

I ordered a Long Island ice tea cocktail, it looked like a lemonade. My sister ordered an iced tea, extra ice. It barely had ice in it. The beans had no favor to them. We ordered flour tortillas and received corn. Wait time was like we were forgotten. This finally convinced my sisters that we where not returning.

Stopped here for lunch today I would definitely not recommend this restaurant although I did enjoy the old Blue Island restaurant this one is much to be desired. Arrived 11:30 a.m. ordered lunch and appetizers they forgot the appetizers the food was cold and everything ran together. I we were kind of disappointed and the service was really so so seemed like they were more into their phone apps then customer service they provided! For this being a Mexican style restaurant the table settings we're more like you were in a mess hall instead of a restaurant. Very disappointing again we're not returning.

I was highly disappointed with the margarita which was bland and didn’t taste of any alcohol. The food was ok but not as grand as all the Reviews made it out to be . It’s not the worse meal I’ve ever had but definitely not as hype as the reviews make it seem. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends and stay away from the mini burrito.

The food is consistently wonderful for the past 20 years. The no frills interior maches the extremely affordable prices.

So this is the new version of the Old Western Avenue place that was in Blue Island for years. They moved into in the hinterlands of Mokena a few years back. Tried my favorite that I would always order the Pollo Estrella, and it was a bit of a let down....I guess you can't recreate what you remember from your youth....
