My last big meal before heading back to the east coast- and definitely the right place to go for! Edelweiss was a classic German restaurant with select menu options- but all sounding delicious! All of our meals were fantastic and the selection of cakes for dessert too! Service was perfect for the setting, and the restaurant had a beautiful outdoor dining area, I’d definitely recommend on a nice day. Reservations are recommended if you’re going anytime in the evening as the restaurant certainly fills up quick.
We saw this place off I25 and we were passing through from NM on to Denver and decided to stop by. I’m a huge fan of German cuisine and really enjoyed this place. The portions were epic, the beer was delicious, all the food was very fresh, the staff were all super friendly, and the restaurant atmosphere was really pleasant. Everything we ate was amazing. My wife and I had a great time celebrating our 11 year anniversary here. Anytime we’re passing through CO Springs, we’ll definitely be stopping by for some awesome German food.
Super cute atmosphere, nice staff. Food was alright, I think I got the wrong thing, I was a little disappointed in the entree. Drinks- Beer flight. This was great, I highly recommend! Great way to try all the German beers and find your favorites! Comes with 6 Started with: Sampler plate- This was pretty good! Lots of different things on here which I liked. Loved trying all the sauces. Bread & butter- this was alright the bread was s little hard and chewy and didn’t taste fresh. Soup- sauerkraut & sausage soup. This was amazing!! I highly recommend, I would eat this again. Entree: Edelweiss Platte- Don’t recommend, I wish I would have gotten something else I didn’t really like anything on this plate. The veggies were undercooked and plain. Steak had a weird flavor and was chewy, everything else I kind of picked at, just missing lots of flavors. Other meats were dry. Super cute environment, I loved the inside and out! Lots of dessert options, all looked great!
Great food - tasty and filling. Plenty of selection of both food and drinks (authentic German beers on tap). Atmosphere ranges from a cozy German cottage-like dining room, to an outdoor patio. Lots of stuff to take home from the bakery as well, and the staff is super-friendly and accomodating.
Wow- this was one of our favorite meals while on vacation. We loved the salad, Rahmschnitzel, red cabbage, and the Black Forest cherry cake. Service and atmosphere were also great!
What a great place! Loved to see the authentic baked goods on display and there were so many wonderful options for brunch so everyone ordered something different and we shared them all!!) We ordered in German because the waiter was a true German and that made it extra special.
Great food. Fabulous Schweinshaxe—crispy skin 3 pound pork shank and excellent accompanying salad for $40. The accordionist in full German regalia in the Biergarten was a nice touch
This was my first time here. The venue is beautiful, authentic German. The server, Dante was excellent, patient and friendly. Everything is pricey. However the quality justifies the upscale prices. I had the Wenershnitzel, (?) my friend had a steak. The salads and deserts were superb.
