Great Hamburger & Hot Dog place. The food is excellent. Not expensive either. Very clean and ftiendly service. This restaurant has been remodeled. Nice to eat inside there. I give it 5 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First off it took a long time to get my food. The food amount is very small compared to the prices they charge. The $9 gyros was skimpy. If you're going to charge those prices at least give people some food. It was just a gyros. Secondly they gave my order to somebody else and they took it to the parking lot they brought me back the bag and gave it to me and I don't know if anything happened to it or not I thought that was very unprofessional. I guess they wanted to save the money and the food rather than keep the customer happy. And the guy at the register was talking to some heating air conditioning guy about some project he had which I thought so thought was unprofessional he could have done that at home. Then some lady called and he looked aggravated to talk to her. Regardless of the customer you shouldn't make facial expressions like you're upset to talk to a customer, when other customers see that it looks very unprofessional. And people are giving you money you should be upset to talk to them. You got a grin and bear it no matter who the customer is. Try to be a little more professional. More more upset about the food issue I took it home and I second guessed it I should have made them make me another order. Last time I'll be here.
As a Realtor constantly on-the-fly, I often find surprisingly great places to grab a quick bite. Stumbled-upon EAGLE RESTAURANT today in Downers Grove and was very happy I did. Excellent food options (even if you’re watching calories), IMMACULATE environs, very comfortable dining room. Nice job…Definitely will be back!
I am a busy person and always on the move I regularly go to Eagle restaurant and I am never disappointed. If you’re looking for great food and excellent customer service then look no further ! John the owner cares about his customers and his business and it shows ! Great place to eat 10 out of 10 highly recommended ! A Downers Grove classic burger, beef, gyro joint! The service and quality are always top notch. We have had most dishes, salads, and soups on the menu and all are very good! The soups are homemade and tasty. At one point recently they changed the fries and we now eat here less frequently. You have to have solid fries at a place like this because they are paired with almost EVERY meal!
The French fries were super fresh and delicious. The gyro meat was perfect and a little crispy on the outside. The mozzarella sticks were decent, but not my preferred type of breading. I want to try the soup next time.
Eagle Restaurant has been around for ever but I have only just started coming regularly. Food is consistently delicious. I order the Greek salad almost weekly. The homemade soups are a must try! Service is quick and friendly.
Good food, very good gyros and hot dogs. A little bit overpriced, but since they have no competition they can get away with it. The food combo specials are all priced too high. The only good deals are the kids menu combos most for $4.69 and one for $5.95.
