Went on a Sunday afternoon for Mother’s Day. The food was excellent. The service was good. They have a lovely outdoor seating area with shade that made it extra nice on a sunny day. Highly recommend their burgers and sandwiches.
Met a group of friends today and had a wonderful experience. The avocado toast was really tasty and light. Service was very attentive and we all felt special. Certainly a must to go back!
We came here the other evening for drinks. I ordered a huckleberry vodka-based cocktail and it was delicious! Our server was lovely. I would have given this place 5 stars except service was a bit slow and the serving assistant was clearly very stressed out -- she practically ran to our table to seat us and noticeably clanked our glasses of water down on the table. Besides that, we enjoyed our time here.
The Mezcal Seasoned Grilled Bone-in Pork Chop and Whiskey Glazed Pork Belly Burnt Ends were amazing. The flavors were on point, and the food was clean and fresh. Highly recommended!
Unfortunately, one of the tougher reviews that I have to comment here. This place is been an absolute staple in our house and something that I have recommended her friends. However, unfortunately, despite the incredible food and great atmosphere. The service has been quite awful. This is due to them being short staffed. Last 3 times I believe we had to wait more than hour for food upon ordering. It kills me too because there foods amazing and love the restaurant, but the service has been so bad and inconsistent to justify coming back here.
Downriver Grill has a fantastic happy hour. We came in with a group from work and the service was detailed, spot on with our order and offered wonderful suggestions. The Gorgonzola fries were perfect as where the clams, and Brussel sprouts. Their baked brie was a favorite among our group, along with the pork belly burnt ends smothered in whiskey glaze. Both were so good I actually took an order home. Drinks selection was great and I would highly recommend their wine selection and craft menu. Downriver’s atmosphere is posh and is a fine addition to the Audoban neighborhood.
To start, our server was wonderful. We sat in the bar but he made us mocktails all night. Such a wonderful guy! The food was divine! The mushroom risotto is something I could eat every day for the rest of my life. The flavor hits you right in the face and it's the most savory thing I've tasted in a very long time. My tofu was delicious and the curry sauce packed a punch. Those two dishes alone I'll be back to try the rest of the menu. Check out their Instagram, it seems like they do a lot of day of specials. I wish I lived in the area so I could stop by! I don't love tiramisu but my girlfriend wanted to get it, it was the only thing that didn't wow us. There are other desserts I'd like to try next time I'm in town. Can't wait to come back!
One of our favorite places. Service and food are always great!
