In the summertime- when the temperatures are high - you know it’s time for a classic Italian sub / sandwich… and that reminds you for Domenic’s. The local shop in Waltham that serves up some of the best Italian panini’s and subs. What is not to love about Domenic’s… you will be served in an Italian place in operation since 1979 … greeted by probably a Mexican/ Guatemalan… food prepared and served by a Mexican/ Brazilian, what a great multicultural experience. Coming to the food itself, my go to is the grand daddy of all the Dom’s special … it never disappoints. Also tried their caprese, which is also generally good, but I was not lucky today. Because of the inconsistency I am reducing my rating else it is always a pleasure at Domenic’s. “Buon Appetito” enjoy your meal !!

My first visit to this local gem. I asked the nice lady who took my order for vegetarian recommendations and appreciated her enthusiasm to help me pick 2 of her recommended paninis- the caprese and eggplant. Wow!! Delicious. I don’t think I have ever had such delicious paninis. Dreaming of my next visit. Thank you!

Before I start on the food, let me say this. There is nothing Italian about this place. It was all Spanish people working when I went there, so they are clearly following recipes. The food was good. The pizza was relatively really good, the meatballs were nothing crazy, and the chicken was decent but I liked the Italian the best. The prices were high for average food. I won’t drive out of my way again for it like I did this time to try it out, might not even try again if im in the area. $17 for the chicken that tasted like it’s been sitting in a steam table and couple slices of prociutto. The cheese was crumbly and old. Overall go someone else for half the price.

Real Sandwich Shop. Open: Year Round Parking: on street Seating: Indoor and outdoor Price: $13 Order: Original Italian Panini with hots Bonus: Get to-go and have a picnic in Lexington. Lots of historical stops and gravel trails for walking on a beautiful day. Redefined my understanding of what a Panini is supposed to be. I'm used to crushed and buttered slices of loaf bread with thin toppings so it fits onto a press and that cuts up my mouth. Not the case at Domenics. House made hot pepper relish, sliced daily deli meats, onions, lettuce, tomato, and minced pickles on top of an ENTIRE loaf of homemade bread. Post 18 mile run I could have eaten an elephant. Or apparently one Domenic's Panini. Belly happy. If you don't like really spicy, skip the hots - otherwise enjoy picking up that filling off the paper at the end to finish because they are legit and flavorful.

Vile. We ordered food that looked like it had been left out for hours. The pizza was cold. We ended up feeling nausea for an hour afterward. Never again.

Absolutely incredible food for a relatively cheap price. Chicken parm is definitely a highlight. The organization of the place is a bit sloppy since you give your order to the sandwich makers and then have to tell the cashier what you got once you get your sandwich, but overall I would recommend

Really good deli for sandwiches! I wouldn’t call It an Italian deli. Because I’ve never seen an Italian working there. But still good. If you’re in the area check it out.

Domenic's is an amazing establishment in Waltham, especially for catering. The sandwiches were excellent, and the service is unparalleled! Pickup the day of the event was made super smooth and easy. They truly made all the difference for my event.
