User Reviews

Stumbled upon this place after trying several other places that had zero availability. Though this place was absolutely SLAMMED with customers, we got in within 15-20 minutes. They are like a well oiled machine and have major capacity levels to accommodate the mass influx. But enough about that…. Their food is fantastic, I was quite skeptic before it came out. A place this size…surely the quality can’t be that high… but it was. Service was quick and friendly, the appetizers and food were exactly what we were hoping for, and their drinks were actually really tasty. Dirty Dick’s knows what they are doing and they don’t mess around. Also, side note: Of all the places we ate, they had the best hush puppies - hands down. We will be back!

We saw their signs all over the place so decided to stop by The day we stopped the their credit card machine was down, apparently up and down the entire banks. Glad we had cash. Food was good. We wanted to try a “local” place but it was a little touristy. Still a good place to eat.

I like going here for crab legs for the most part. I did try some fried flounder from here before, and it did not sit well with me. If you have a sensitive stomach, I would avoid the fried foods. Their hush puppies are delicious as well as the chicken andouille gumbo. The waitress was super nice as well. I like their little gift shop, it has some funny stuff.

I ordered the shrimp po boy, and I really enjoyed it. The staff was wonderful, and the environment was really cool too. It’s a mature place to go to with some of the humor, but younger kids will enjoy it too. I highly recommend the po boy and fried pickles. The fried pickles came with a very unique sauce that I really enjoyed. This is the second year in a row I stopped here while on vacation, and I can’t wait to go back next year.

Great place to eat. We went to see Wright Brothers first flight at Kill Devils Hill and stopped in for lunch; our server, Tempest, made it so special for us!!! Had ½doz Rockefeller oysters (so differently good), and stuffed flounder - remarkable! B.u.u.t.t.t... the hush puppies were superb!! Took a side of home, they didn't make it through the night!!

Waiter was really friendly and attentive. However everyone in our large party ordered different seafood dishes and we're not satisfied with the taste especially with the high prices they charge. Some items had no seasoning and shrimp/crab were not properly cleaned. I think they lure people in with their clever name, but don't be sucked in by this. Your money will be better spent somewhere else.

Tucked at the end of the Seafood Entrées is Fried Crab Lasagna. The description did not really help me picture it. I like crab, I like lasagna, and the server assured me everyone loves it. What arrived was the plate in the picture. It looks like something out of some up scale restaurant in a big city that does playful things with food. It is quite simply a crab mix with a light cream sauce rolled in pasta sheets, then some sort of breadcrumb, and fried. It’s served with a red sauce that while not Italian was close to Italian than anything Cajun. It was delicious. It was different. It was fun. Take a chance, you might like it too.

Service was AWESOME as was the FOOD. The Seafood was Fresh and very Delicious, for appetizer I had the Alligator Tail and my Wife had the She Crab Soup 🦀 the Entrees were out of this world attached are some Pictures you be the Judge.
