User Reviews

I gave this restaurant a 4 star and the only reason why is because they are super short staff. Other than that, customer service is amazing, the food was delicious, and their mango smoothie is delicious. My server was amazing. I don’t remember her name but she was working around 2:30 when I got there. I love this place

Nicely located & convenient. My wife had the Super Slam, & I had the Lumberjack Slam with a side of biscuits & gravy. The food was good, & the staff was nice & polite. Our server Jessica was great, very nice & attentive. The restaurant was nice & clean.

First visit I had a very courteous server. Coffee was good. I just stopped in for a quick bite, and my food came out fairly fast. Next time came in and it was crazy busy.  You can really see how the nationwide staffing shortage is affecting businesses. They did their best to deal with the rude customers who had to wait for a table. Don't people understand that a table might be open, but if there is no server to serve you, they can't seat you there?! When my friends and I were seated, our harried server took care of us. She was not rude, but she was clearly overworked and almost maxed out. Our food came out fresh and hot. It tasted great. Paying our bills was only a short wait, and that employee was harried but kept a smile on her face. Please people--be patient here! They are understaffed and are putting forth a sincere effort to provide good service.

Denny's is usually more a matter of convenience than fine dining, I wasn't even that hungry. It was after midnight and our choices were slim. I got a teriyaki chicken something or other and my wife wanted comfort food, a pot roast bowel and they were both totally delicious. The cold leftovers the next day were good as well. Our server, who appeared to be the only one on duty was pleasant and efficient. They even had an enjoyable Fall/Halloween motif, if it wasn't for the rude manner the apparent manager treated our server I would have probably given it five stars all the way across.

Immediately upon entered the building and walking to the bathroom to wash my hands before being seated. First thing I noticed on my way down the hall to the bathroom was the heavily soiled floor I’m not talking a couple days without seeing a mop but visibly audibly and physically noticeable months of neglect you can see the dirt and I mean heavy dirt build up you can hear your shoes sticking as you step your way down the hall and can physically feel the floor trying to hold you down. The bathroom was ridiculously disgusting when I washed my hands I noticed the bathroom door handle had buildup just absolutely disgusting. On the way out of the bathroom looking around I noticed kick plates on entryway doors are heavily soiled. There is organic growth on air vents. Customer contact areas dirty. As I walked through the lobby and looked around. A blonde lady in a rude manner and tone said “we are not self seating we pick your table.” To which I replied “ with a lobby this dirty I wouldn’t eat here. I would hate to see the kitchen.” I promptly exited the restaurant. This location is in need of a real manager that takes responsibility and accountability for their restaurant serious. Someone who will delegate tasks to be completed by their employees every scheduled shift. As a manager of a restaurant my self. I would be embarrassed if my restaurant looked even the slightest bit dirty. If it was as filthy as this location i would be changing the culture of the store (terminating employees who set bad example and ethics for new staff) I would spend every woken hour there cleaning and making sure employees are completing cleaning tasks. Until I felt confident telling customers I was the person in control of the restaurant. Who ever is over this restaurant should be embarrassed and upper management should take control immediately and start looking for candidates to replace current management. Current management has obviously failed at the execution of their duties.

Fast, fun, and not expensive. I was pleased with the welcome I received. The ladies showed true southern charm and happiness. The restaurant was seasonally decorated. It was nice to see that it is open 24 hours and 7 days a week. When I return to stay at Days Inn, this Dennys will be a nice amenity to add to the stay. I ordered simple eggs and toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly for order. Cheyenne (spelling) was fast and friendly. I did not spend allot of money nor time. Food was fast.

My wife and I went to this place for our breakfast during our visit in St. Augustine. It was a weekday and only about a handful of tables were occupied. We immediately felt the place understaffed like the reviews mentioned once we stepped inside the restaurant. However, a gentleman who appeared to be the manager immediately greeted us, walked us to our table and took our orders without any delay. The gentleman was very friendly and polite. We were a bit surprised to find the price on the menu stayed about the same as before this inflation. The food came out fine, though it was not nicely presented as we used to see at another Denny's we had been to. We only saw 2 to 3 staffs in total working in this restaurant, and they were all very nice and friendly. Apparently due to the short staffing, the bad black stains on the floor next to the window were clearly visible.

We'd been trying to find a "local, small business" restaurant for breakfast but after driving around and calling many places, most couldn't accommodate a party of 5 adults and 2 small kids on a late Sunday morning. We found this Denny's mostly by accident and couldn't have been more relieved and thrilled. The waitress was very attentive and friendly, the food was hot, fast and as ordered and the atmosphere was pleasant. Don't avoid the chains because you're out of town, sometimes they're still your perfect option.
