This location seems understaffed from my experience. It took about fifteen minutes to get seated. Our food took almost an hour to arrive after ordering. We weren't offered drink/coffee refills during our meal. Then we waited for someone to bring us our tab & finally went to the front to request it. I waited at the register to pay for over ten minutes. Then the server scanned my receipt & just walked away. The food was great, but the service was severely lacking. It was nearly impossible to locate the servers.

Horrible customer service!!! Recently visited this location on 9/9/23 and the customer service was horrific. We decided to stop at this location because it was right by the hotel we were staying at for the weekend. We probably would’ve visited a few more times during our stay but, decided not to after the initial encounter. They were understaffed and unprofessional. I had to flag the waitress down to get my order taken. Then after waiting for over an hour decided to get the order to go. While checking out I addressed the situation and spoke to the supervisor or manager on duty about the wait and how it was never communicated to us at any point and he was extremely disrespectful and dismissive. I will never return to this location EVER!

Update: Boss swore the pancakes are the best here. Tried going to the location on Contra Costa, again here, and it's final, not worth the gas, or the money. The service is so slow. The food is a hit or miss but frequently a miss, by a lot. There is one waitress for an entire section. Old rating: Our waitress was great(Debbie). Ordered an egg sandwich, and grandma got the santa fe skillet. Both orders were burnt. I had to scrape the toast, and hush puppies look nothing like the pictures on the menu. They looked like deformed charcoal. They missed my side order of avocado and took about 20minutes for my friend's side garlic bread and pancakes to arrive. By then we were nearly done eating. It was annoying.

My go to late night snack/meal option. Ordered veggie omelette and Philly cheesesteak omlettes. Food was great, service was a bit slow as there was only one server.

The service was slow. They need to hire one more cook. Plus the service wasn't good. They should have someone set up the tables before sitting them down. Plus what happened to offer water while you wait . These days restaurants aren't like they used to be.

Nice place to eat in the middle of the night. The staff was kind and helpful throughout our time. Food was tasty. Ordered a skillet and a breakfast melt.

If you get a good server you get good service but 3 out of 5 times I get a “slow” server even when it’s empty. Plus food is more expensive in this Denny’s than the one in Pleasant Hill. Parking is big so you won’t struggle finding one. High chairs can use a wipe down.

Service was good. I liked the food as well. Desert was good too. Went there on Christmas Eve and ordered veggie burger , biscuit and in desert got New York cheese cake and chocolate shake. I actually ordered strawberry shake but they didn't have strawberries left so I got the chocolate one.
