Breakfast Menu "Cupcake A La Mode" Leawood

I decided to take my daughter here to try the cupcakes and possibly place an order for her upcoming birthday party. The cupcakes were good, but upon inquiring about the making of red velvet cupcakes with strawberry frosting, it was stated that "they don't do that". It is too bad that they refused to make the cupcakes her heart was set on, as I was willing to pay up front for them. I realize that everything is "made fresh" and may not taste like what we think it might however; that is what she requested. What ever happened to satisfying the customer? Sorry, lost my business forever and will not recommend to anyone for any parties!

I was pleased with the finished product, but not the service. The girl on the phone acted like it was an inconvenience that I called to place an order, was more argumentative than pleasant and helpful, then rushed me off the phone and hung up on me before I could finish asking my question. I'm more than happy to pay $3 a cupcake, but I feel like that price should include a quality product and outstanding customer service. After reading the other reviews it looks like I'm not alone in having a rude customer service experience. I've had more pleasant customer service experiences at Price Chopper. Maybe the location in Kansas City has better service, but I will never order from the Leawood location again.

My sister bought a dozen of these cupcakes for my birthday. She ordered a variety of the cupcakes and they looked beautiful, but honestly, they tasted like they had been sitting around for weeks. The cakes were all really dry. The frosting was hard. Eww. I shared them with my co-workers and none of us finished a single cupcake. Not impressed and disappointed for sure!

Cupcakes are good. It was our first time there today and I thought the cashier lady was rude and didn't really make our first experience a good one. She didn't use gloves while handling the cupcakes and everytime we had a question regarding an item, she would just tell us to look right here and read it.

The cake part is ok, nothing special. They only bake two flavors, chocolate and vanilla. Everything else is icing and toppings. The icing is horribly sweet. Even my sugar addicted husband says it is too sweet. Also, I think $3 a cake is a little much. On Mondays they sell for $2. Forget the groupon, going in on Monday is the better deal.

This place is so good! Some of the best cupcakes in the KC area. You must try the Bella Nutella and the red velvet! Go on Mondays, they are only $2!

I love this place!!! If you ever want THE most amazing birthday cake order an 8" cake in the "Let It Snow" flavor. A - MAZ - ING!!! It is worth every single penny!!!!! My husband who never, ever eats food on day two actually froze half of it. You rock Cupcake A La Mode!!!!!
