Ordered the tips, tenders and Shrimp platter. Everything was way to salty. Tenders were tiny and thin. Shrimp was super tiny and 90% breading. Tips were pretty decent. Got coleslaw as a side and it was super bland, had no flavor at all. Fried apples were delicious. Overall I was very disappointed. I understand the pictures they take are professional but it was so far from the truth I feel lied to.

I just ordered 4 sides of greens with cornbread, and those turnip greens taste so good. I'll be back on Thursday to get 4 orders if turkey dressing. The food is phenomenal, and the service was awesome. The people were very nice and attentive and made sure I didn't wait too long for my to go order. Very happy customer. I didn't take pictures of the greens bit here. I am an extremely happy customer.

Food has gotten to be smaller portions and not as good. They seemed to have cheapen the food quality and some parts of the atmosphere. Got menus with writing all over them.

Service was fast and friendly even though we were there on a Saturday night. We had the pick 2 plus 2 sides. Between the 2 of us, we had fried chicken, meat loaf, chicken and dumplings. The food was good. I don't care for their white gravy, but everything else was good. The tea was just the right amount of sweet.

I can't believe I have heard this restaurant so many times from my friends for years and never get to try. The food is delish and prices are extremely cheap. Their Roast Beef was super soft and the gravy on top adds more flavor to it . I heard that their chicken and Dumpling dish is super popular but I didn't care much ,to me it was missing flavors big time. Atmosphere of this restaurant is cool , the little board game they put on every table is fun , I even purchased one for my kids . I would definitely visit this restaurant again .

Despite living 430 miles away from this Cracker Barrel, I will definitely be back again soon... Had a great time there from the moment I walked into the restaurant to the time I left. Spent just as much time in the gift shop as I did sitting there enjoying my meal. Their fried apples were my favorite dish, but Grandma's Breakfast Sampler was amazing all the way around the plate....

Food was perfect! Couldn't have asked for better food quality and portions. Service was the downside. Half our meals came out, then about 5 minutes later the others came out for a group of 5 of us. We were still missing items, never got them and were still on the bill. And never got drink refills. Got another waitress to help us. Went up to pay and waitress still messed up our bill. I'd still go back because food was that good but hope for a better waitress.

I have been in a breakfast relationship for over 27 years. Over the years I found my favorite dishes and have been both thrilled and disappointed with menu changes. I continued to hold on to this relationship and give it chance after chance to succeed. This last shake up was really disappointing as they removed my beloved Sunrise Sampler from the menu. I started thinking that Cracker Barrel may no longer be my place. Then the most disappointing change to the hash brown casserole came. Gone is the familiar perfectly seasoned creamy greatness. Now we are left with what tastes like sour cream that was left in the car overnight. I finally got the hint when I visited the location in Joliet, which has been going downhill for years. Sunday when we went we were seated quickly but waited for almost 15 minutes while no server stopped at our table. We tried to get the attention of servers around us but clearly since we weren’t in their”section” they felt it was ok to ignore us. We finally decided to leave when the table right behind us was seated and attended to within minutes. On the way out I let the manager know how long we had sat and why we were leaving and he made no effort to apologize or offer to seat us in a different section. I am really sad to say Cracker Barrel that you and I are over.
