Absolutely Awesome tonight. I got off work late so I arrived at 10:10. The waitress was in a rush but was able to calm down and be respectful. She got a good tip.

Waitress was great but food wasn't so good , we both ordered the new steak bowl I think it was call steak tater tot casserole choice of egg on top. My Hubby's had no eggs at all on it or in it when we finally got our waitress attention ( she was very busy ) she did bring some eggs out but by then we was close to finished he went ahead and ate what was there so it wouldn't get cold. . This is a first we ever had a problem.

If you're from up North please don't think this is how southern food. I promised her real food is full of flavor.

We have waited 15 to be seated. Which was fine. CB was very busy & a church group camp came in behind us. After we were seated the server came to get our drink order, but we were ready to order our food also. For some reason she had to leave & then come back for our order. Simple order: Biscuit w/ gravy & scrambled eggs. 2 kids ordered scrambled eggs w/bacon. Roast beef, mashed potatoes and green beans. 1 sweet tea, 1 water & 2 chocolate milks. We waited over an hour for our meal. The big church group was seated after us later, but yet their food came out first! When we finally received our meal, the eggs were cold & had crisp tops from sitting under the heat lamp. No chocolate milk, we had to ask for napkins, jelly & spoons & refills. CB needs to have kid friendly utensils. You can't expect a 2 year old to eat with a fork as big as her arm. Our server just wasn't up to par. Then we received our bill. Everything was charged individually, except the roast beef plate. Our bill was almost $50.00!! I could understand if we had all had roast beef, fried chicken, etc. But scrambled eggs???? Not a good experience! CB you got to do better!!

Atmosphere is always nice at the Cracker Barrel, as is the service. Unfortunately, it seems like the food quality has taken a beating. We'll still enjoy it from time to time but maybe not as often as before.

Don't go right after any peak times, the food is leftover and horrible. But if you go during pal time for breakfast, lunch or dinner there's usually not a wait unless you have a large party but occasionally you may have a 10-15 minute wait. It's worth it though because the food during those times are incredible! Love the atmosphere and they always have unique and very nice things in their store you can browse and shop if you have to wait for a table.

The food was not up to their usual standards. The "country ham"was too thick & had little taste. The hash browns were pretty much a clump of wet starch. The apples, biscuits, & coffee were good. Our server did an excellent job serving our large group quickly & efficiently.

The atmosphere was very rustic, farmhouse-like with a large number of items for sale. In the restaurant the food was good, a great value and our server was very courteous and attentive. I would definitely return and recommend this Cracker Barrel.
