Their lunch wasn’t large enough to fill a child, but what was there was very good. Cotton Patch has changed their menu since our last visit. They no longer offer black eyed peas! Nor turnip greens. Cotton Patch was one of our favorite places to eat lunch. Maybe it’s under new management or times are so tough they needed to make some changes. Which ever it hasn’t helped their business . The place was far from being full and I understand that restaurants can’t find or keep good waiters these days but my goodness our young lady that wanted on us just had no interest in serving our table. The Cotton Patch is still a good restaurant. The food is good and I recommend the place. We definitely will eat there again soon.
Had never been here before till now. Cool place with great service, fast service. Big menu to pick from. based on this experience alone, it was okay. My plate was a little less than impressive. Turkey was done perfectly, tender, flavorful. Sadly just 2 slices all ya get. The stuffing was average, the gravy was very thick and bland. cranberry sauce was likely canned stuff. The sides I picked were on point. Wifes beef tips and gravy were very good. My kiddos fish was also very tasty and he finished it all. 10% military discounts are available so our 3 meals and drinks were only $46 with tax so not bad. I still gotta try some other dishes next time to get more insight to their plates and menu.
Had food Doordash delivered the 1st time and it was great. Had meatloaf, garlic mashed potatoes and fried okra. So impressed, decided to try it in person and it did not disappoint. Had chicken and dumplings, fried okra and fried apples. This visit and food were so awesome, decided to go back again. 3 meals in 5 days and each was great. I'll go back next time I'm in San Angelo. Great job you guys. Oh and prices are really reasonable!
For my first time in this place, I really liked it. they have good service. the food is very good, especially the breaded bacon it was very good....
Takeout chicken fried steak, which used to be be very good. Like EVERYWHERE else the quality of food has changed & NOT in a good way. The crispy coating was good, but very thick and the meat was mostly inedible. Full of gristle & very disappointing for $15…..The broccoli rice & okra wasn’t that great either…very sad
Cotton Patch Cafe was delicious! The place is well decorated, our waitress was great. The food was seriously better than I had expected. It was so good and we got a lot of food for our family of 4, for 30$!! With appetizer and drinks. We will definetely be coming back.
First we waited over 5 minutes in a practically empty restaurant to be seated . It was a little over an hour before close. I ordered fried fish. The fish came out overcooked, unbreaded, and unseasoned. I sent it back and ask for chicken strips. They were bland, overcooked, and not tasty. This place is really hit or miss and today was not a good day! The service was great. The atmosphere was good.
Very clean and very quick to be seated. One of the employees even held the door open for us. The food was GREAT and fast to get . Sheila our waitress was on the spot with our every need. Will be going back . If you are looking for a home cooked meal and not at home!!! Look NO farther. This is the place !!
