Pros and cons. I'll start with the good, the pancakes were very tasty. Now for the bad. We showed up about an hour before close (3pm) on Sunday and it was dead empty. We should've understood this was a red flag. Asked to sit outside and the tables were filthy as if the staff had their hands full with work. We waited about 3 minutes after requesting the staff come clean a table so we could sit. The Power Greens and Grains dish was the item of note on our order. The spinach was largely inedible because it was wilted and started to turn. Even a novice in the kitchen could've spotted this so I have to chalk this up to them just not caring. I wasn't able to get a picture of the full plate as it was being picked through for anything edible at the time the pic was taken. Would not recommend eating here unless you're getting pancakes.
The salad was tasty but served on a flimsy paper plate, which did not contain the meal well. This was served with plastic utensils. I'm a visitor from out of state, so this store was unfamiliar to me. My companion lives in the area and has visited other Corner Bakery locations. She expressed surprise at the paper plates, etc. and said this was unusual in her experience. Also, the table tops were sticky, many with crumbs from previous diners.
I had a to go lunch order and it was disappointing and poorly made especially for the price. I dont think Ill be returning soon for lunch. Very disappointed in the preparation of the food. I didn’t even receive a pickle slice with my club sandwich? My linguini was so very sparse with ingredients. I had a fantastic breakfast experience not too long ago which made me want to come back, but after this, no thanks.
I ordered the shrimp linguine. The shrimp were over cooked and tough. The dish was just about room temperature…not hot. It was a bit of putting when I dishes came on paper plates. Most of the tables were dirty, so we had to pick though the tables to find a clean one. But, I can say the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I highly doubt I’ll be returning.
Average breakfast food at good pricing. Order at counter and food is brought to the table. Good for a casual weekend.
The potatoe soup I got was spoiled. Wasn’t able to eat it. It looked like chicken noodle. The fat was separating and it smelled awful. $7 to throw away.
My first time and just thought it was not fast food. The atmosphere and decor is the best part, and murals depict an old style comfortable coffee house. With China and silver ware. Unfortunately, that is not this place. Maybe it is just a sign of the times, but for the prices I believe it is possible to avoid plastic wrapped forks and knives. Everything is plastic. After my wife and I ordered and paid, was told they are out of the home fries. 1130hr on Sunday morning really? Then I was given the condiment size fruit cup. Honestly, I will not be back.
Waiting over 30 minutes for a Togo order of just 2 breakfast sandwiches. Watched eat in orders placed after us get served first. Positive note, food tastes great.
