1st time here today & overall, it was pretty good. Took a few minutes for staff to notice us to get seated, but that was not a big deal. The overall look of the place is pretty old school, cabin vibes. You can also throw your peanut shells on the ground! The portions here are big, so I was definitely able to share a plate. The steak and scallops were very good! No complaints, and let's talk about that cheese bread!!!! Sizzler who!? Am I right? Lol. Service was a little slow and seemed like 1 gal for the whole floor beside the other lady behind the bar. Either way it didn't ruin the experience to defer me from returning again, I'd definitely come back to try other dishes on the menu.

Peanut shells on floor, old mountain decor and fake snow on roof, what else does one need? Old school steak place with solid drinks. Sat at bar and had amazing service. Pulled pork sando the best, onion rings solid and cheese garlic bread...fantastic. have a happy hour too. Gets busy on weekend. An iconic spot to at least hit once in your la life.

The service was great 👍 our waitress was attentive and explained everything since it was our first time. Large portions make it nice for leftovers. Salad is good but too much dressing. Fun to eat peanuts and throw shells on the ground. Steaks were cooked to order. Baked potatoes had extras on the side. The atmosphere is unique, similar to a cabin. Fake snow on the roof and all.

Went to Clearman's North Wood Inn in La Mirada for Father’s Day’s. The food was so plain and tasteless that I had to double-check to make sure I wasn't eating cardboard. Next time, I'm just going to head on over to Sizzler for some real excitement! The only highlight of my meal was the salad, but even that was ruined by drowning it in too much dressing. On the bright side, the portions were so large that I had leftovers for days. The cozy warm funky atmosphere was the only thing that kept me from falling asleep at the table. And if you're looking for a unique dining experience, you can break open the peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. It's like a party for your feet! The cheese bread was the only thing that brought a smile to my face. It was so good that I almost forgot about the disappointment that was my main course. And don't even get me started on the beer. It was better than my steak! The cabin-style theme and fake snow on the roof were a nice touch, but it couldn't make up for the fact that the steaks were way too pricey. Despite all of this, the service was always superb, even if I did have to wait 20 minutes for a table, or was it 30 minutes? Either way, it was worth it to experience the thrill of Clearman's North Wood Inn.

Loved the concept of throwing peanuts on the floor hahaha. Great atmosphere a little thrown off at first with the darkness and the animals all over but once inside I really enjoyed the ambiance. Went during lunch not too crowded. Enjoyed the salads a lot. A bit sad I could not try the cheese toast as it was not gluten friendly but my friend said it was delicious. We shared steak and shrimp plates. Really tasty the rice was just a little off.

Was staying at a nearby hotel within walking distance, The old school look of the restaurant is what attracted me. Pricey menu but excellent service and food. Cozy warm funky atmosphere. My only complaint was that the two greeters at the entrance desk were wearing communist face diapers. Everyone else I saw were not wearing communist face diapers. Greeters, or anyone for that matter, should not be wearing communist face diapers. Everything else was great.

I would give this place a 5 if it weren’t for the somewhat dated decor. The woodsy cabin in the snow theme is great! If it could be more modern, it would be perfect! Now the food and service are another story. They were outstanding! Our waitress was awesome! She knew the menu really well and the drinks too! She made some really good recommendations. We started with a couple cocktails while she brought out the salads and cheesy bread. You can’t go to North Woods Inn and not have their red cabbage salad. It’s famous! I personally like to mix it with the green salad and eat it with their yummy cheese bread. That’s a meal in itself! If you plan to dine here, make sure you’re really hungry! Portions are hefty! Or main entrees were the 20 oz ribeye for my BF and the Rock lobster tail for me. It came with a loaded baked potato and rice pilaf. I also got a side of the cheddar butter to see how it tasted with the potato. Creamy cheese heaven! After that, we. Shared a Mudslide Pie for dessert that was soooo decadent! I think I fell into a food coma afterwards! Did I tell you our server was amazing? She was great. She checked on us a lot, but not enough to bother us. Only enough to make sure food was good and our water and drinks were refilled timely. I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone with a big appetite. Be prepared to spend a little. It’s not cheap, but it’s definitely worth it!

Classic theme steakhouse. Older generation crowed. I had the chili dog which came with two links and rice pilaf. Lots of flavor and juicy. I really like their salad. Must try, not too many of these old school restaurants left.
