The food is good at the restaurant but the service wasn't good. They also have a limited menu, so something to be aware of. We were seated but weren't provided plates and fork until we asked for it after the appetizer was served. The server wasn't there around us, so we had to ask other servers for our requests. We were seated at the patio, and it was a wonderful view from the rooftop, so we enjoyed the ambiance. The mussels and salmon entre were awesome. It is good to make reservations. We didn't but were given a 30 minutes timeframe but were called in within 10 min. We will visit again and hope next time the service will be good as well.

I expected a lot more from this place. Right away, we noticed that both the glasses and the seats were dirty. The service was incredibly lackluster. Our waitress had an extremely dry personality and was inattentive; however, other waiters seemed to be more kind/engaging with their customers. I got the omelette, it came with potatoes that were incredible, but the omelette itself was super salty. The chicken apple sausage it came with was flavored well, but was dry. My dad got the chicken and waffles. The chicken “tenders” were so tough and the waffle was flavorless. My dad stopped eating it and told the waitress that he he did not enjoy it at all and she said “okay”. She did absolutely nothing to try to make it better. Overall, the food was below average and the service was poor. However, the ambiance was absolutely lovely, but it was extremely empty for a Sunday afternoon which was peculiar to me. I should have listened to the reviews a bit more before coming here. Unfortunately, I won’t be back!

Service was okay here. Not sure if it was just the hostess/server that my group had, or not. But, the food was DELICIOUS! We’ll definitely be back!

I took my client out for early lunch on a Saturday after she bought her first home and left the closing table @ Classic Settlement in Pike & Rose. My Salmon popovers were fantastic! My son had the French onion soup (big serving that I took home and had for lunch the next day). My daughter and client had the City Perch Breakfast and they loved it as well. Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful. Oh but that VIEW! I’ll definitely be coming back to check out their happy hour (heard the drinks are amazing too)!

I’m giving my experience at City Perch three stars because there have been a lot of changes to their menu, which are not reflected in the pictures as well as menu available. However, if I was rating the service - I would give it 4.5 stars. Our server was super helpful, despite me being disappointed with the menu that I found; and she was also very attentive with our table. The food presents well in the pictures, but the taste really fell flat for me.

I went awhile ago, but I still remember my time there. I always look forward to trying new restaurants to visit. I have mixed feelings for City Perch, however. Pretty good location over the movie theater and spacious. I had about three different servers, which made it confusing who to ask when I needed something. I sat in a small, quiet corner until it wasn't so quiet. They sat a medium-sized party of cackling women next to me. . . . I ordered a Perch Birdy, which looked and sounded like a fun-good drink, but meh, the french onion soup to warm me up was tepid. But it took so long to get to me, I ate it anyway. I was starving. The lady who sat near me, at another table, I could overhear her send hers back. The chicken wings were actually not bad. I do not know what the sauce was, but it was delicious. For the main course (which also took forever and a day), Braised Short Rib served with mashed potatoes, which were luke-warm, but eaten with the rib (piping hot), it balanced out. I'm not sure why service was so slow as it was in the middle of the day on a cold rainy Saturday in March. Was not busy and had a decent amount of staff. So what was the hold-up🧐?? All-in-all, it was mediocre at best👌🏽.

The Rotisserie chicken with herbs and the Perch Burger were incredibly good. The fries were very thin which i don't usually love, but these are some of the best fries I've had on a long time. The food here may come with some price, but you get a fair amount considering the price, and the view from outside is very much worth it. Originally we didn't plan on coming here, but when I saw it's out door seating from across the way, I implored my friends to grab food with me. The staff were incredibly kind and even split up the order of chicken I got to share with my friend so we each had our own plate and serving of it. Incredible service and no regrets eating here

Was in town for the weekend and decided to try them for brunch. Very interesting and tasty dishes and drinks. Loved their twist on the rum punch, prices were reasonable. Lovely atmosphere and the waitress’s assistant Daniel from Chicago was amazing. He was funny, attentive, friendly had us laughing from the moment he got to our table. The decor was simple beautiful and nicely lit, loved the wooden tables and side tables and lovely wall and art. Took a few pics for inspiration, overall lovely experience looking forward to going back when I’m in town.
