Amazing roast duck. The spicy food is also good. The rest room can be a bit cleaner though.

The restaurant is not very clean. The table and glasses were dirty and there was a hair on the sauce that they brought to the table for the crab ragoons. Only upside is the duck was pretty good. Definitely won’t be visiting again.

Rough exterior and interior as construction is happening next door. Place is small so not ideal for large groups. Food is solid and service quick and friendly.

It is a family like restaurant. The service is very good and the owner is so nice! We ordered douhua Yu, Peking duck and shizi tou. The taste is very authentic. There are a lot more foods in the menu we want to try in the future. I will take my friends to this place next time.

Oct 2021 I was looking for some cheaper Peking duck and came across this place. I've only had Peking duck in this area at Peking Gourmet Inn, and while they have good duck, it's VERY expensive. While they do have online ordering, I called in to order since I wasn't sure if they included the duck bones. The guy assured me the duck bones are always included. Though I'm not sure if they automatically include it for all Peking duck orders or just whole Peking duck orders (I got a whole duck). It was a typical Chinese restaurant call-in experience, though the guy did ask for my name to put on the order (usually they don't). The restaurant was smaller than I expected, and decently lit. Pickup orders were behind the back counter. The guy behind the counter (same guy that was on the phone) was friendly and efficient in ringing up orders. All the staff were wearing masks, and there was no barrier at the counter. My order of whole Peking duck came with one fortune cookie, 12 pancakes, shredded spring onion, plum sauce, the duck bones, and two containers of meat, skin, thighs, and wings. The skin is placed on top of the meat, separated by a small piece of foil. Sadly, the skin was not very crispy by the time I got home (45 min drive), but still yummy. They also don't scrape off as much fat as Peking Gourmet. There was a good amount of meat and sauce, but I think there could have been more spring onion. In all, a very delicious Peking duck, and cheaper than Peking Gourmet.

Food is mediocre. It’s decent but compared to other places in the area, there are better options. Price is cheap which can be good but you get what you pay for. Crispy Wontons are better at Panda, Sweet and Sour Chicken was good, but Egg Drop Soup was only somewhat decent. Overall the place is fine for a quick bite but not ideal.

I'm giving 5-stars for my dinner experience here and I have absolutely no shame about it. This is not just any "China Wok" as the name suggests this establishment to be a casualty of time. I can only assume most other customers are looking for some Michelin-level fancy food adorned with endangered species of flower, plants, or meat, which just seems like a crime against honest good food. This is an old-school Cantonese restaurant where I'd be proud to introduce to the late A. Bourdain {RIP} if one was looking to find something authentic & original around the Tyson's area. Within my food circle, I am told what China Wok does really well .... It's Peking duck and they were right because it was very tasty! And it's not just any Peking duck from some special farm to be paired with nose-bleed-expensive cucumbers crafted for tourists and nation presidents like some restaurant down the road does particularly well. Eating China Wok's Peking duck is akin to traveling back in time to taste what it's like decades ago - uncompromising and original. This peking duck is likely too simple or weird to the amateur food critics or social media personalities who likely have no idea how to cook. I won't apologize for my critique on amateur reviewers given the number of low-star reviews because "c'mon, where can you actually go to get a whole Peking duck traditionally dressed just shy under $50 and in Tysons of all places in 2022?" The answer is nowhere. And that means the value that China Wok brings to competition is really good! Btw, also notice the other Chinese specialty dishes here that pays tribute to what good Cantonese dishes are. One expects to find Americanized-fake-Chinese food given the out of touch name of the restaurant but I can assure you that it is truly not the case here.

I had not eaten at China Wok in over year so I decided today to order from them being that i have enjoyed their food in the past. I ordered beef and green peppers and a order of spring rolls. My spring rolls were over cooked and dry. When I took a bite the cabbage tasted like it had been soaked in vinegar. It was so nasty. I couldn't finish it so i threw it away. The beef and green peppers was also overcooked the onions were slightly burnt along with the beef but, trying to be a good sport I tasted it anyway and it was awful. It tasted as bad as it looked. It had the taste of seafood or shrimp like it had been cooked in oil or sauce that they use to fry fish or cook fish with. After a few more bites I couldn't take it anymore, and I had to throw it away as well. I cant remember the last time I had to throw food away that I ordered because it tasted so bad but, this was God awful. I am so disappointed because their food was really excellent in the past when I ordered from there. Needless to say I will not be ordering from them again.
