Chilangos is a family favorite, especially once they moved into their larger location a few years ago. The lounge area is extremely comfortable and a nice place to have a margarita. We've always had good service there--some nights there's a bit of a wait, but that's okay with me because it just means they're doing well and will stay in business! My particular favorite is the pork pastor.
The food and value were both terrible! I had the chicken flautas and they tasted like they were filled with canned or boiled chicken: tasteless and a little gross. Seriously, that is all that was in them, they were the worst "Mexican" thing I've ever eaten. My friend had quesadillas which had bland refried beans and cheese in it, not good either. The chips and salsa were not included in the meal and the food was all over priced in my opinion: $12-$15 per meal. Even the service was awful, the waitress took a long time to get anything we asked for and disappeared for long periods of time. There are MUCH better Mexican places in Rochester such as Monte Alban or Los Gallos. These other places have complimentary chips and salsa and tasty, large meals under $10!
We got there at 6:10 hostess told me it willbe 15~20min wait finally at 6:50 we got seated. I ordered the chimichanga and to me it tasted like I was eating a ciggarette. we left at 8:30 fianlly I will probaly never go again VERY unorginized
Red sauce was great. Food was great. Our server was amazing. This place is worth driving from Rochester.
