In town for business and decided to go with a coworker to have a nice Midwestern steak since visiting from Florida. Based on the recommendations of coworkers from the area, Chicago chophouse did not disappoint. Everything from the service to the food to the atmosphere was fantastic. If you are in town and you’re looking for an old fashion original chophouse, this establishment has been open for 40 years and the quality would rival any restaurant in the country in my opinion. Prices are on par and the portions are much larger than other establishments we have visited. I recommend the lobster bisque to start, and then the dry rub fillet, with a smoked old fashion cocktail. Normally not a dessert eater but the table next to us order the New York style cheesecake with the graham cracker crust and raspberry topping so we decided that was for us and a good choice it was. I have eaten all over this country at several high-end steakhouses, and this truly was one of the best meals I ever had not just because of the food, but the history, the atmosphere, and the quality of service from the hostess to Victor checking in to see how our meal was. There’s something to be said about the traditional values of an original steakhouse with a level of service that seems to be forgotten in today’s market. You’re not just paying for a quality meal you’re also paying for the atmosphere and the memories that are made in a historical setting that this chophouse has offered for over 40 years. Great job team!

Visiting Chicago for a long weekend and had a great experience at the Chicago Chop House! The server Alex was extremely kind and knowledgeable regarding the menu! He made great recommendations as well! Best crab cake we’ve had since our Baltimore trip! I had the Miso Bass and the flavor profile was sweet and savory and cooked perfectly!! My husband had the Parmesan chicken and it was cooked well, saucy, and cheesy! Overall a great experience!

My boyfriend took me to Chicago Chophouse for my birthday and it was my favorite part of our Chicago trip! We sat on the outside patio and had the absolute best service by Alex. Alex made our experience incredibly fun and special. The food was phenomenal and I can’t wait to go back!

Came here on a weekend "boys trip" with my dad and brother. We live in California but dad is from St Louis and he loves a good steak house (as do i) got this one from a us attorney who was born here with two other places. This is the only one that had space so we came here. It's in a super old building, like early 20th century. The decor is incredible and you'll want to look at the different floors. We were on the second floor. Steak house experience was great, great service, steaks were great, price was favorable compared to similar spots in la or (shudder) NYC. Plus, it's Chicago so you kind of have to. Keep in mind it's a retro vibe so make sure you aren't looking for that super slick, chain steak house experience.

Services and foods are very good! Miguel was really great server! I would say this place is comparable with Peter Luger steak house in Brooklyn, NYC. Definitely Recommend

Steak was cooked well and tasty, I had the petite wet aged and my husband had the dry aged. Both were cooked well. We both chose the garlic butter sauce. We had the cheddar bacon mashed potatoes which was good but probably should have just ordered the plain one as there was a lot of bacon. We also shared the Cesar salad. The waitress was very friendly and gave us good recommendations. It is pricey! But would come again to try other selections. I thought I took a picture of my steak 😩

It’s steak house in a legend. Menu pretty big and interesting. Can’t choose which one to pick because it’s all looking good. There are 3 floors. We got second floor. It’s old school decoration style and music it’s pretty good a long with it. All staff are great: Great services. Food is pretty good as well. Oh 1 more thing, the credit card fee and 18% gratuity is automatic included in the bill.

Hands down, best steak and lobster dinner we've ever had. Josh was an amazing server! We will be back next time we're in town.
