Got my food to go and it was fast. The lady who took my order was polite and let me take pictures of the menu for future reference. I ordered the caldo de res and it qas delicious.

Waited over 20 minutes for my food, if you're in a hurry this is not the place for you, the place was empty and still took too long to get me my food, when I got it the carne de puerco en salsa verde was really salty, they have hand made tortillas but you only get three small tortillas, portions are small, I paid over $15 dollars for the plate combination and a soda, clean restrooms, customer service is good but if the food is not good the place is worthless.

Wonderful Delight. Cute, clean restaurant with good food and friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.

Great food, great customer service and amazing style. I came across this restaurant on my way to an auto shop and decided to check it since I love Mexican food. I and my brother ordered the Grilled steak and it was DELICIOUS! My dad ordered menudo and also was delicious! Truly recommend, prices are reasonable, they do take card. Will be back again!

Place was empty about lunch time. Showed up and took 15 minutes for us to get a menu. Finally ordered and food took nearly an hour for them to bring to us. The waitress there was focused on chatting with some guy at the bar. The food itself was not too bad. I had to put some effort on trying to get the waitress attention just to have another drink. She finally came over with another drink and didnt ask if we needed anything else just walked back to her conversation. I finally had to grab her attention once more just to ask for the bill which took another 15 or 20 minutes for her to bring it to my table. This place customer service is just pathetic. Definitely not returning here.

A friend of mine was visiting from Australia and she loves good Mexican food, which there really is not much of where she lives. She also was not interested in the top normal "tourist attractions" in Southern California. We had spent the afternoon in San Fernando, and on the way back home we passed by Chela's and stopped in for an early dinner. The outdoor seating area was colorful and pretty. The dining room was also inviting and very comfortable. The menu was impressive, including all the traditional dishes as well as a huge selection of mariscos. We settled in at a table outside, and the proprietor (I believe) came out and gave us salsa (amazingly good) and chips. Then he came out again and took our order. Though both my friend and I get by in Spanish, there was some confusion on a question, but we figured it out. Then shortly thereafter a very nice young man (maybe the other man's son?) came out to clarify exactly what our order was. Well, I can't say enough about how delicious the food was. I had grilled shrimp tacos (two large tacos piled with lots of shrimp for $7!), and my friend had the fish tacos...again, two generous tacos for $7. We also had amazing guacamole, which we were too full to finish. The sun was setting and the pretty patio lights came on. It was so pleasant. 5 stars for Service; 5 stars for atmosphere; 5 stars for food. On the way home my friend literally said "this is everything I wanted in this vacation!"

The food was good and the atmosphere was great. Eating out in their outdoor seating during covid was a real treat. Real plates and silverware would have been nice, but safety comes first. Thanks Chela for providing outdoor "dine-in" service and providing some normal to the current life. Next time we'll try visiting for dinner❣

This was my first time here today as well as with a good friend of mine. The female waitress was very nice and accommodating. She wanted to make sure I was happy with my drink. She said if it wasn't strong enough she would bring me more wine on the side to add to it. (really kind). I was ok with how they made it. I don't like strong drinks anyway. It was perfect. After deciding what I wanted, I haven't had menudo in several years and so I asked if they had menudo available. ( They did) it's really hard to find a good menudo. Although it's not Sunday. I thought I'd ask. Again I was impressed. It was just the way I liked it. Perfect and she even heated it up extra hot as I requested . The place is really cute. We will be back for sure they have karaokee Friday Saturday and Sunday 8:30-1:30am & *Sunday at 1-4 pm perfect for me .😁 Happy 1st time customer. Great service!
