Went in around 2:30pm and were given dinner menus/prices. Very basic and bland americanized version of 'indian' food, i dont think prasad knows how to cook north indian dishes..

Do you want to eat Indian. food in new cannan only one. Choice is chef Prasad Indian kitchen . Nice food. and Nice place to hang out with friends and family’s. lunch 🥗 and dinner 🍴 every week end. they are doing brunch also drinks 🍷 cocktails 🍸 and mock tails and much more to eat and drink 🍸 enjoy 😉 the life with Indian food Thank you guys nice work keep it up thank you for your service.....

The best Indian cuisine in the area, hands down! Great attention to detail, wonderful menu. The ambiance in the restaurant is outstanding.

Absolutely delicious, wonderfully small scale restaurant. Intimate and cozy seating. Top notch food. The ginger crab cakes and vindaloo fries were standouts.

Short staffed, average food, not worthy of another visit. The appetizer we ordered was the Tandoori Chicken Tikka, which was the best dish of the evening. We also ordered Andhra Chicken, which was too mild and lacked flavor, Dal Makhni which was excessively sweet and Paneer Makhni was definitely better than the Dal and Chicken. The service was ok considering there was only the bartender and one more guy taking care of all the guests at the Bar and in the dining area. We were not asked the spice level for the food and everything came out mild and sweet. Some other items on the menu look promising but considering our experience last night, I don't think we will be paying it a second visit.

We have been an enthusiastic customer for the last 2 years, but the last two experiences were a disappointment. Specifically: the raita we ordered yesterday was fermenting and inedible, the chicken tikka masala and the chicken saag were disappointing with dry and hard chicken pieces, the lamb biryani had even less pieces of meat than on previous orders and the cauliflower starter was mushy and unrecognizable as a cauliflower dish. Overall a sad experience, the prices went up and the quality went down. We are willing to come back, but Chef Prasad needs to fix its quality problems.

Available seating was at the bar only. No table seating in the restaurant. Service by Raymond was excellent.

We ordered online this evening from Chef Prasad in New Canaan, and in the notes, we mentioned an allergy - and we got a phone call from the restaurant to make sure that we would be OK (Thanks, Chuck!). Our food was delicious! The customer service was fabulous! And there were no allergy issues. Can't wait to try something else next time!
